Control GX Grey Reducing Shampoo, Gradual Hair Color, 4 fl oz

This stuff is exactly as advertised.I've been contemplating coloring my hair for a few years, because I'm not getting younger and work in an industry populated by young people. I've always been afraid of a ridiculous looking dye job, or of going from salt-and-pepper on Monday to jet black on Tuesday. These are the exact problems this product solves.I started using on Monday of last week. It took three or four days of use before I really noticed any improvement, but from then on, day by day, the gray became darker. It's Thursday, and 11 days after starting to use I'm thrilled. There's still a little bit of gray, which is fine. The product is gradual, it's natural looking, and it's as simple as washing your hair every morning (which you do anyway, right?)I will say that the warnings are accurate- be careful to rinse any drippings/remnants off your shower walls and floor, because it will stain. Also, my finger tips are a little darker, as though I changed the oil in my car and my fingers stained from that. Both of these issues are so minor that I hate to mention them, but you might feel differently.TL/DR Version: This is a great product, I will keep using.

I am prematurely gray, (am male) and have colored my hair for over two decades. I hate it. I tried this product in March 2017 and am amazed! I started using it a few days before it was time for my every-two-week dye job and after just three shampoos I am good to go! No more stinky dye for me! Color is perfect, the change was gradual and I am hooked. I actually used it a fourth time and started getting too dark! So just as the instructions say, shampoo with it daily till you get the color you want, then maybe every few days to maintain when it starts to fade. This stuff is awesome.Just apply it in the shower like regular shampoo and let it sit a minute while you soap up. Rinse it out like regular shampoo and that is it. Couldn't be simpler, no more sitting with acidic smelly goop in your hair for 15-30 minutes before a shower. It's like a regular shampoo, no bad smell, cleans your hair and does not leave it dry and wiry like regular hair dye does.I've a few boxes of regular hair dye that I'll never use now if you want to buy them. :-)

While I noticed a subtle difference, no one else did! My family laughed and told me they saw no difference.I keep my hair closely cropped, but I went a extra two weeks more than normal before getting my hair cut and I thought the grey had turned brownish. My hair was black growing up before I turned completely grey by the age of forty. I used dyes to keep a youthful look. People actually thought I was younger than I am when I used the permanent dyes which starts growing out in less than two weeks. While I know this product isn't supposed to get rid of gray completely, it's not for me! I'm going to give my second unopened box to my co-worker who has longer curly hair and uses it also.Update****Started using it again, and although it didn't seem to work the first time, I see a noticeable difference. I'm going to keep using it everyday or every other day for a month and see how it does. It is very gentle to the scalp, not like the harsher permanent dyes.

This is simply one of the best products I have ever purchased. I am 47 and starting to go grey on top and particularly on the sides. I have brown hair and so I was a bit worried about this product making my hair too dark. Anyway, I received the shampoo and for the first week washed my hair daily with it for about 4 days. I immediately saw fantastic results. This product has made me look younger and it looks so natural no one can see that it is a hair dye. I love that it keeps some of the grey on the sides but very subtle and yet restored my hair to its original dark brown color. Simply amazing. I will probably use this product for many years to come!

This product worked great for a while. Initially used the shampoo only then moved to the shampoo / conditioner. It became difficult to cover the grays. Then I began seeing thinning of the hair. My scalp began to show. Didn’t take it on initially but after it became prominent I had no choice but to wonder what was the cause. Also at the same time I began experiencing allergies. Never in my life have I ever had allergies. Began itching, bit of swelling randomly then very itchy hives. Spent a fortune going to the dermatologist. Only after stopping the use did all the allergies subside and I am hoping to gain my hair back. This product needs to be rechecked for health safety.

I was skeptical because JFM usually makes things more difficult than they need to be for coloring. One application and toss the rest away. This product is born again for men. After about four uses I'm really noticing the grey kinda fading out in a very natural looking way. I did try it without gloves and no matter how fast you wash the suds off your fingernails they WILL start to tint a bit, so buy some poly gloves and apply it with them. I'm also trying it on my beard which is VERY grey. It may be changing a bit but much more effective on the scalp than the face. I'm a big fan... this stuff really works.

The shampoo worked great; however, I strongly recommend purchasing the single item package because when I went to unseat and open the second product sold in the this double package, the shampoo which was supposed to be white milkish in color had already began changing color and getting darker as it is supposed to do once oxygen begins the chemical change in color. It was, as if, the tube had some type of way to get exposed to the air. The foil seal over the tube's opening appeared to be sealed properly so I have no idea why the second tube was changing color before I opened the product
