No but it is a very comfortable mattress

Yes, I think the mattress needs time to fully expand, because it is a foam mattress and vacuum compression, so it may take a little more time to fully recover to its original state compared to a spring mattress, I recommend that you do not use it as soon as you receive the mattress, not fully expanded mattress support may not be as good, so it is better to give some time for the mattress to rebound

Q: what is the minimum spacing between the slats on the bed frame to support the 12" mattress?

I would have to lift the mattress to answer that and I can’t do that now, but if your worried about there not being enough support there are plenty of slats and pretty close together AS I REMEMBER when we put it together a couple of years ago ..

Q: Can this mattress be flipped over, for when it gets flattened but body weight?

The bottom side is not upholstered the way the top is, so it is not flippable. However, remember you can switch it head to foot, but you will still have the "ridge" in the middle between the 2 body impressions. Also, with a king size, you CAN do a 90 degree turn. There will be a 2 1/2" hangover the side of the side of the box because it is 5" longer head to foot. This will help to decrease some of the ridge/depressions.
