Easy to set up and so far has lasted several rounds of play from 7 and 8 year olds. Luminosity is decent enough for the price and auto shut off is great. No buttons to press. Just initial inflate and play. We used it for outdoor activities after Thanksgiving dinner. I highly recommend this toy.

Product is great but it comes in a clear bag and is not quite nice enough looking to give as a gift. Please send in a box!

My son absolutely loves this ball. He says it's heavier than his normal soccer ball but it definitely glows or lights up when it gets dark. Great for practice.

Update (2 years post-purchase): Still love this ball and it's in its fifth season of use! I've just ordered another for our team since the fall season makes for darker and darker practices on our unlighted scrimmage field and we've come to rely on this ball so much. My teenagers use this ball at home all the time, including playing "soccer tennis" on hard surfaces and for banging against a brick wall (all of the print is long gone from the outer surface). We even took it to the beach this year. It never fails to get a reaction from people who see it bouncing around in the dark. I did have to replace one of the two lights, but they're available from GlowCity and are very reasonably priced (I purchased a couple of extra lights, just in case). I also bought a pack of 100 LR44 button batteries (it uses six at a time) really cheap ($10.26) on Amazon, so I now replace the batteries more frequently to keep the ball at its brightest. With its 30 second idle time automatic turn-off feature the batteries really do last a very long time. Still exceeds my expectations! Original review: This ball amazes everyone who sees it! When I switch it in to our late-evening soccer scrimmages, our players are always delighted and the game goes on much later than before. Coupled with hi-viz orange and hi-viz green pinnies, we can play past dark. I've used this ball for many games and the batteries hold up very well. It has dimmed slightly, but still has a lot of life in it before I'll need to replace the batteries It is a slightly heavy ball, and has a rubber exterior, but it works fine, even for heading, holds air well, is remarkably round, well balanced and seems to be almost indestructible. The light works consistently after many, many hard kicks by 13 - 18 year old players. Stays on for 30 seconds after it stops moving and requires a solid kick or drop to activate it. Never goes on in the bag to run down the batteries.

Gave this to my son for his 8th birthday and it is a ton of fun!! It lights up well and I love that it shuts itself off. It is a fabulous ball and will be played with a lot! !

works as expected. the kids love it while playing in the dark. it's like magical football. I like that it starts to glow as soon as you hit the ball (no button) and stops by itself glowing after a while of not using it. not just glow, it's more about light (batteries included). There was no packging as far as I remember, which is a bit raw for the price, but I didn't care that much because it was not a present.
