This Peel Is Well Made & Has Performed Well
I ordered this peel almost 2 years ago and after more than 100 uses I've been very pleased with how well it's performed and held up. Although the seller said it might need a little sanding and re-sealing to smooth the finish, mine hasn't needed it. It also doesn't need any seasoning, just brush off any residue from the pizza and keep it dry. It's very similar to the Pizza Royale peel, but just as good. The only downside, which I just noticed, is the price at the moment is $35, while I paid $22 for mine Aug., 2017.If you're starting out with pizza making, having 2 peels -- one wooden, one metal -- is useful. I use the wooden peel to transfer the pizza into the pizza oven and a steel one to remove it for rotating and taking it out. The wooden one is better at sliding the pizza before it's baked, the metal one is better at getting between the pizza and the surface of the oven after it's been baking.
