Excellent Audi Q7 Tires
DISCLAIMER I rarely write reviews for any products (I did for handful only and three out of five was for Costco reviews). This is my fifth online review ever. No BS and rest assured I am not paid or influenced by anyone to write this blog. OEM PERFORMANCE - Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico 275/45R20 110H XL For over 5 years, I had driven my Audi Q7 exclusively on Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico 275/45R20 110H XL. which OEM tire according to all dealers, Tire Rack and other reputable sites. While OEM Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asymmetric 275/45R20 110H XL were good tires, I always had uneven wear despite diligent annual wheel alignments at Audi dealership, scheduled tire rotation, balancing and no suspension issues of any kind that would cause my tires to wear our unevenly. These OEM tires were semi quiet for the first 8-12 months. After one-year (12K) tires would become louder and louder, small uneven road bumps would become harder for OEM tires to absorb. The tire noise in the car and cabin was too loud and frankly wearing us out. I had a feeling that my suspension was getting undeserving hit after hit (suburbs / average - good road quality). While OEM tires would handle curves well and with no major issue, I simply knew that I had to drop OEM tires and find a new set of tires. Lastly, OEM tires were not good in the snow and car was not stable in ice. After extensive search online and reading spec sheets from all industry major manufacturers, I have decided to purchase a new set of four Pirelli Scorpion All Season Plus 3 275/45R20 110V XL. NEW TIRES PERFORMANCE - Pirelli Scorpion All Season Plus 3 275/45R20 110V XL As of now, we have driven this car through conditions of recent bomb cyclone (Dec 19 - Dec 29) and have taken my family for a ski trip after X-Mas. These tires were driven in dry, ice, rain and snow conditions. Performance of these tires for first 800 miles is excellent vs. OEM tires. Tires are quiet and have absorbed all potholes and uneven road conditions way better than OEM. We also have Porsche Cayenne with Michelin tires, and I could not spot any difference in performance between Michelin Pilot tires on Cayenne vs. Pirelli Scorpion All Season Plus 3 275/45R20 on my Audi Q7. I love Micheline Pilot Sport A/S 3 N-Spec on my Cayenne. I assure you that if own an Audi Q7 and need new tires, you don't need to spend $350.00 to $440.00 per tire (excluding mounting and balancing) unless you really prefer Micheline tires or your preferred brand. I am also very tempted to put the same tires on my Cayenne as long as Pirelli tires on Audi Q7 continue to perform well into the future, or close to Michelin legendary quality. As indicated above, my tires size on Audi Q7 is 20’’ and I can’t tell how smaller size tires would perform on Audi Q7 Premium or Audi Q7 Premium Plus models that use 18 and 19'' inch tires, or Q7 models that come with 21’’ rims/tires. My best guess is that Pirelli Scorpion All Season Plus 3 in any size will meet your expectations, especially when it comes to warranty that Pirelli offers for 70K miles. Yes, I get it, 70K miles warranty would be prorated if tire would fail or deteriorate, but it sure beats other brands that don't go above 40K and when they do provide higher mileage warranty, they don't even come close to 70K miles warranty on their tires as Pirelli offers. It appears that Pirelli realized that they are losing market share in North America and had to come up with better tire quality than OEMs. My family noticed a stark difference between new Pirelli Scorpion All Season Plus 3 275/45R20 110V XL tires and OEM tires after first 5 minutes driving on new tires. That counts! If your significant other and/or kids are not happy, you are in trouble, especially if they are not comfortable during long road trips. FUEL CONSUMPTION No MPG degradation at all, as I have been averaging 21.7mpg driving 72 mph while on highway. The city performance was around 16-17 mpg. Please note that I have also taken this car up 85 mph for 20-30 seconds to evaluate tires and see how they perform, as I know folks in TX/other states have higher highway speed limits. Rest assured that that tires are super quiet and perform extremely well at higher end speed. Higher speed performance is likely due to higher tire speed rating which is 110V vs. OEM 110H. Of course, I would not take my car up to 110H speed at any time but 110V rating does not hurt and is nice to have, unless you can take your car to Germany and really test 110V rating at 149 mph or 240km/h. My goal with the above post was to provide all Audi Q7 owners with honest and in-depth review to save you time and pain with so many confusing and inconsistent posts that are out there. Audi should really dedicate a web page link to provide guidance when it comes to selecting replacement tires in order to provide easier way to review and select tire set vs. offering and selling these below average OEM tires. The keep your family safe, one must have great brakes, lights and above all a high quality and reliable set of tires. Wishing you and your loved ones many safe and happy miles wherever you go. May 31, 2023 Update Tires continue to perform really well, no extra noise or reduction in MPG due to tire design. No regrets and these are among best tires I ever purchased. My rear tires on Cayenne are wearing out and I am very tempted to replace all tires with Pirelli Scorpion All Season Plus 3. Will provide another update as time goes by.

Outstanding! Quiet, incredibly smooth, and good in snow
Wow! Just wow! These tires are quiet, smooth, and great in snow. I've had them on my 1500 Sierra for 3 weeks now and I think I have a new truck. I couldn't be happier with the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 tires. I had previously put them on my wife's car and thought they were good tires, on my truck these are outstanding tires.

These should come standard on the Toyota Highlanders
I was in the Automotive industry (Specifically Tire sales) for over 22 years, so I do my research and think about the tires going on my vehicle because, contrary to popular belief, TIRES ARE NOT TIRES. I look at the treadwear rating, traction and temperature ratings. I look at the tread patterns looking for aqua channels and sipes. These Pirelli's (I put them on my 2016 Toyota Highlander) 245/60r18 are better than I expected. My wife and I commute 138 miles per day so I was looking for quiet, good handling (especially in wet weather) and good looking tires (anyone that doesnt think that tires can make a difference on how well a vehicle looks is not observant in my book). I was more surprised that Amazon was lower priced and got my tires to my house faster than the largest tire wholesaler (whom I regularly did business with when I was selling tires). Not by a couple of bucks, but by a couple of HUNDRED dollars. I have only had them on my Highlander for a few weeks but I am impressed. These are not the most expensive tires you can buy, but honestly, I don't see Michelins performing any better and are no where near the price point. When I received the tires, the first thing I check is for damage, blemishes and the date stamp. All of my tires were date stamped for 2023 (although I was slightly disappointed to see that 2 of the tires were built in one month and the others in another-but hey this isn't a perfect world and I think they did pretty damn good with everything else). I would, if Amazon is interested to know, have liked to have seen an option to purchase Road Hazard Warranty for these tires. Overall, great tires, great price, great ride, great look - very satisfied.

Great tires for a good price
Tires seem to have handle very well and have good grip in rain. Have not tested them in SNL yet.

Very good tire.
Bought to replace one damaged it by a nail puncture by tire shoulder. It is working very well and price better than local tire dealers.
