Musical Fidelity - M6si Integrated Amplifier (Black)

I waited a month or so prior to writing a review. This integrated amp is a great value. It’s not cheap, but gets you into a performance level that sounds like amps thousands of dollars more. I have a good couple hundred hours on it now and I’m amazed by the performance. I’m using this with Focal speakers and a Rega RP6. This appears to be a good pairing and the sound is remarkably warm for a solid state unit. Then there’s the build quality... built like a tank. Keep in mind, this unit provides clean and ample power and has no way of controlling tone (bass/treble). To get the most from this unit, make sure you are running some really good and accurate speakers. Do some research on which speakers pair well. B&W and Focals seem to often come recommended when reading the forums. At this point, I would highly recommend.

I really like the amp but when I received it I noticed the front panel was dusty. I think they sent me a used one. I even checked the listing again to make sure I had purchased a new one. If it was used then it should have been listed that way.

This is the first time I have purchased an amp that was so expensive (for me anyway) but after much research I decided to go for it and worry about paying for it later. I am currently using my M6si with a pair of Kef LS50 speakers in my bedroom. The sound is so amazing! Music to my ears, I could listen all day! After this purchase my PS Audio Sprout and NAD D3020 are going up for sale (different class, I know)! This thing is a keeper!Warm beautiful sound - After switching to the M6si, I no longer need a sub with my Kef LS50's - Built like a tank.Update 1/22/18 - Still the best amp ever!!! Using it now with KEF LS50 speakers and Elac UB5 speakers, both sound amazing! This beast never lets you down. So glad I purchased this amp as I still couldn't be happier! SO WORTH IT!

I bought my amp in 2016 from amazon. After trying everting from Rotel, NAD and what not. I just fell in love with the sound signature of the M6si. I use it with a restored audio technic turntable, Denon DL103r MC cart, and Dac with a Mac for digital music. I am using the Magnepan .7’s and it drives them beautifully. I haven’t felt the need for a digital input as I mostly spin records and play Spotify or FLAC music. I will hopefully keep this amp forever.

I have a nice receiver for TV and movies but wanted better sound quality out of the front right and left speakers. The Music Fidelity is hooked up to the receiver using the pre outs. This improves the speakers greatly. While listening to two channel music I leave the receiver off and play my music through an Opo disc player which is connected to the Music Fidelity with balanced cables. It is also possible to connect mp3 or other portable devices directly into the Music Fidelity and by pass the receiver. I really love this product. It is my second one.
