No more disposable batteries needed!
The media could not be loaded. If like me you don't like wasting money (as well as engendering the environment) by buying disposable batteries for everything, those rechargeable swatter are definitely the right way to go.Honestly, I hesitated before buying those sort of rackets, as II was used to my old yellow one that worked with two AA batteries. But once it died, I decided to try one of those new rechargeable ones, and I wasn't disappointed. I have no longer the need to worry about buying replacement batteries for it, just give it a quick charge, and it's ready to go again, and thus for a long time actually. The fact that those also comes with a useful charging dock, was also another great benefit versus my old swatter. Plus, it has a "always on" mode with a purple light, that will attract bugs, like one of those bug-trap lamp. So, basically you could just leave it in this mode while it's on its dock, and it will do the job for you.I was actually so please by the first purchase, that i went for the two-pack offer as soon as I saw it available from the same company.

Update 4/21/2023 - Great at First....One Stopped Working, while other one still works Great!
Some people think reviews don't matter, but they do! There are some companies that care & listen...After our initial review below regarding one swatter stopped working, we were contacted by the company. They have sent us a new up (Working GREAT)!!! The follow up, and customer service we received to make sure we would be happy with a new one & to make sure we received it, and working properly...Speaks Volumes! We have already ordered a new set for a family member. It's nice to see a company care about making sure the customer is taken care of! If we could give it higher stars than 5, we would!!! Thank You!We loved the fact of two zappers for different areas & you can leave on stand to get the flies before they get to you! One day we noticed that one of the zappers obviously wasn't working as a few flies kept getting in my face at my desk and the zapper was on my desk (light still on). I took it off the base & tried it manually & it wasn't killing the fly. I reached out on Amazon because it was right after the 60 or 90 day window (can't remember which one) & they told me it was too late to return, but to try the info on resetting & none of that worked. The other zapper is still working fine, just a little disappointed that we thought we were getting a great deal with 2 for this price, but after a short time, it's a lot for only 1.Angie & Chad

Works Great, Love Recharging Batteries, UV Lights DON'T Attract Mosquitos
This is an electric swatter and it works great doing that. I love being able to turn it "ON" and it stays on without me having to hold a button down. But I also like that I can use the button instead if I don't want it always on. And the recharging is GREAT.The UV light is a gimmick. Mosquitos aren't attracted to UV. The other bugs it might kill via UV are likely not bad bugs in the first place. It can make for a night nightlight, though. But be warned, bug-zapping noises at 3AM will startle you awake. So, probably not worth it to have on.I keep this by my bedside for when a mosquito flies by or a fly is being super annoying. No regrets on making the purchase, just don't think the UV light will solve all of you biting bug problems.

Best zapper yet, blows HF zappers away
The auto mode is kinda lame needs stronger light, but when it's time to kill a bug by hand they go zap! pow! bang!Nothing left most of the time to find or clean up. I hooked it up to a VOM and it has 38,000 volts. Fully charged might be the 40 as advertised, I already used it a bunch of times and was in the garage so I figured why not measure? I didn't think I'd be writing a review so soon. I bought 2 more after the 1st set. Now I have one with'in reach through out the house and one on the porch. I like the base you can mount with a screw anyway you want but upside down. You can also wrap the cord around the base and make it disappear which isn't in the manual. (I figured it out on my own) wrap counter clockwise for best results. I recommend these, tested and really cool.

They used just 1 LED bulb - does NOT attract bugs at all - They failed on the important item
CON:The ONLY thing, which is the MOST important item, that can be improved, is that the blue light which it uses to attract the bugs only covers a small area at the base, it could be redesigned so that the lights cover a wider area. The LED light is very dim compared to others I've owned.Compared to my previous ones, which used 6 LED bulbs, this one only has 1 single bulb and hardly attracts anything.I suspect that the manufacturer was trying to be cheap by using just 1 bulbwhile everyone else is using 6 bulbsBut by doing so and trying to save a bit they have made this thing entirely useless! But unfortunately, the return windows have closed and I'm stuck with this piece of garbage. You may as well toss this in the garbage as it fails in its most important function, i.e. to attract the bugs into it, to be zapped.PROS:1. The USB Cable is already embedded into the base, this eliminates the risk of them being separated or it coming loose.2. it uses a vertical stem to plug into the bug zapper - this eliminates problems of loose on non-connecting contacts3. Improved indicator lights showing it being Charged and/or Powered Up4. It uses a solid USB-C connection in the base5. Looking into the base, I am a hook attachment built into the base, which means that I can choose to have it mounted to the wall.6. When I unpacked it, I saw that there was a tag I had to remove by pulling out which allowed the rechargeable batter to make contact and start charging for the 1st timeI had already owed a double pack of a previous generation bug zapper similar to this one, but this one is the clear winner of the 2 versions. After some usage, the Micro USB connection kept getting loose and then it wasn't keeping the connection to the base.Eventually, the connectors weren't kept properly and then failed, which is why I ended up shopping for a new one.
