Just what I needed - an inspirational and beautiful book
With this book Sophie inspired me to slow down and consider the role that images play in our lives - both the photos we take and the myriad of images to which we are exposed every day.As a professional photographer I use my technical skills and creativity all the time but I'm always looking to learn new things and see the beauty of the world around us in surprising ways. This book is well-written and thoughtful. It is printed on paper that feels substantial and lovely to the touch. It is also a nice book to give as a gift to just about anybody whether they are a serious photographer or not. I bought a few extra copies for that purpose as my go-to gift for friends' birthdays. I mean, in these days of smartphones who isn't a photographer? And who wouldn't benefit from becoming more purposeful about what we do?

A bit ethereal, not for the serious photographer.
Really did not address dynamic symmetry or have some of Cartier Bresson’s observations, such as when he views a scene he sees geometric shapes.Photography is capturing a good photograph by having a thorough understanding of composition and light……. That is achieved by taking a lot pictures, and I mean a lot no matter the weather or how you feel.

not a serious book
Not a book for a serious photographer or any person with a mind of their own. Pure foolishness.
