Easier on my hands, clean and efficient
No sharp edges, no contact with the food. It opens well and stops automatically. Although, I've found the little plastic notch at the back end; designed to help with lifting the lid edge from the can, to be utterly useless. If I'm unable to lift the lid with my fingers, I have to get inventive.

Works like a charm
I bought this for a blind friend. I had to find an opener that would STOP when can was fully opened. I had previously sent another one back. The opener seems to latch onto can easily too. This one STOPS! The magnet is not strong enough to pull the lid off but my friend can manage that, especially since there are no sharp edges!!Only a 4 because it is a Christmas gift and I am not sure how my friend will like it. Well packaged and easy to follow instructions included.

Absolute Garbage - Save Your Money and Sanity
I’ve never been so disappointed in a kitchen gadget in my life. This can opener is a complete waste of time, money, and counter space. From the moment I took it out of the box, it refused to work—not on soup cans, not on tuna cans, not on anything. I thought maybe the batteries were dead, so I swapped them out with fresh ones. Nothing. I tried different sizes and brands of cans, thinking maybe it was picky. Nope, still a useless hunk of plastic and metal. The instructions are a joke—barely legible and no help at all. I even wasted an hour troubleshooting, double-checking the alignment, pressing harder, softer, every which way. This thing just sits there, mocking me with its lifeless whirring noise that does absolutely nothing. It’s not even worth the effort to return it—it’s going straight to the trash where it belongs. Console junk at its finest. Do yourself a favor and buy literally anything else. I’d give it zero stars if Amazon let me.

Works on most cans flawlessly.
I’ve had this for quite a while now and it hasn’t given me any issues. Works great every time and works on different types of cans. Smaller ones it won’t be able to open but it’s no big deal.

Works great but! Lasted about 6 months before dying
This can opener is the bomb. It opens the cans cleanly and leaves a edge that won't cut your fingers. Easier to recycle those cans using this too. Mine started going on and on around the cans even when the lids were clearly cut. The lids would be spinning under the opener and it was just buzzing away. It's really pretty noisy but no more so than any electric opener. But when it won't stop the noise becomes annoying. I had to physically pry the opener loose from the cans, often spilling valuable contents. I sent the maker 2 messages about their product but haven't heard back yet. Today, after placing new batteries in the opener and attempting to open a can of dog food it slowly cut about a half inch and died. It no longer works at all. Call me skeptical and Stupid but I just ordered their updated model today.Update! 12/14/23. Kitchen Mama refunded me the full price for this opener. I've since changed batteries a third time and it is working again but still rotating multiple times. The KM staff showed me a diagram of this model that has a reset button on the side. Next time I open something I will update this review if that fixes it. I'm hopeful it will. The 2.0 opener I just bought works good but it has to be manually stopped after opening cans. I thought it was supposed to auto stop but mine doesn't.

Awesome unit !
Nice replacement for our last electric, batteries not withstanding.Does a terrific job cutting the sides. We still jeep out manual one for tuna cans when you want to squeeze the cut lid into the can to press out liquids.

So easy even I can do it.
I think I have never opened a can without a major battle until this opener! It is simple to use. You basically put it on top of the can and push the button. It goes around until your can is open. It drops in a drawer so it doesn't have to be sitting on the counter all the time.
