Works perfectly on P1S with "PLA - standard" settings
I haven't bothered to "optimize" setting on the Bambu Labs P1S for this filament because Bambu Studio's "PLA-Standard" option works perfectly with not flow or adhesion issue, including in multi-filament prints. My wife loves a couple of vase-mode and standard-mode printed vases with this material. From a few feet away, these vases reflect light like one would expect a gold-ish metal vase to do. The material is very shiny and reflective, but when I used the filament on just the ~1/4" rim of some small nut bowls, the gold "look" wasn't as pronounced - not like real gold would look. Nonetheless. she loves everything I've printed for her with this filament. Admittedly, the P1S is an amazing printer and nearly all my prints come out not looking like they were 3D printed.

Nice filament, easy to print with.
Probably the best results I've had right out of the box. Zero failure with this filament. Adhesion is good and very little stringing. The color is brilliant. I used it for the golden arches in the attached photo.

Easy to print, looks great.
This is my first time trying a silk type filament and I’d heard good things about Sunlu, so I figured I’d give it a try. I took my base PLA settings and printed a temperature tower. For my setup, I found that printing it at about 205 was giving me good results. I’m very pleased with the color / sheen effect. It looks even better in person than in pictures. It’s rare I have the confidence to go with a 14 hour print when trying a new filament type for the second or third print, but I was able to do it with this one. Bed adhesion on a clean mirror heated to 60c is fantastic. Overall, I’d highly recommend this filament to anyone looking for something a bit different that’s easy to print.

Very nice!!
Love this! This filament was a great price because it was on sale and it looks yellow right out of the box but it prints a very nice shiny gold color. Will be buying more!

gold silk filament gettin to expensive $30???
WARNING:: NOT for practical use. art work only. its bond is not secure like regular colors. UPDATE: in less than a year sunlu increased value from $17 at chrismast to $29 in April. Looking for another vendor. BYE BYE sunlu. So I bought this gold silk pla filament from SUNLU which is 1KG for $22. It was all I had so I printed a bunch of stuff, twice for some. Everyone loved the gold finish. Very shiny. Others are 0.8KG, less then SUNLU. The gold lasted a long time, I still have a lot left even with all the mistakes I threw away. I set my extruder temp at 185 to 190 (not 200). It doesn't bond strong, but it is freakin awesome to look at. As you can see too dam shiny can blur out or haze the camera. It is a beautiful gold no need to paint. I found terminators head mount. YUP, I'm buying silver and hitt'n that thang. No need paint bro. I found stuff on the web like harley quinn and bebe yoda, but I made the storage container/cage.

Great for animals
I use this for slugs and dragons and it works great it's very bright and shiny good for lots of things. It slightly bubbled on one of my models (it might have been my fault though). It's decently strong for making things such as a hand shovel or a toy knife. A good deal for sure!

At first, I had a lot of trouble with adhesion with the Sunlu Filaments on my Ender 3 with the glass bed, and also in a Flashforge with the PEI bed, but they's print just fine on the blue surface in the Flashforge. A bit of research revealed that the coating on the glass bed, and the PEI need to be toasty hot to activate the stickiness, and they loosen when they cool. Also, I was using the included Flashforge calibration card. I remembered seeing something about using A4 paper to do this, so I grabbed the nearest piece of A4 and set up the Z axis with that. It happened to be one of those extra thin sheets the NHS send their doctors letters out on. Instant result. the build plate adhesion issue was solved and nothing even tries to curl at the edges now. I print on the glass bed at 75 degrees for the first layer and let it cool to 60 after that. this results in excellent adhesion and the cooler bed prevents upper layers from pulling the print up, while the initial temperature ensures the first layer has enough time to adhere before it cools. Also, be patient with thin flat prints, let the bed cool down completely with the print held in place before you loosen it, this will prevent warping. It's the same story with a PEI bed. At first I took the PEI bed out of the printer when down and set it aside to cool quickly. I actually heard the print crack and warp as it cooled too fast! So far, I've used 15 Different SUNLU filaments, Silk, PLA+ and PLA, all have been great and printed perfectly when using the recommended settings (and a nice tight Z clearance) strength is great on all, and no issues with bridging. The only jams I've experienced were on the horrible quality Flashforge, which got sent back, no issues yet with the Creality. The first print I did with this gold was a rectangular storage container. It looked like I was printing bullion!

Purchased this for my wife as she was still "on the fence" regarding my 3D printer purchase. She has printed out some stunning Vases and xmas decorations. The filament came well packed, with the spool vaccum packed to prevent any issues. Using the data on the box, I created a "profile" for the filament on my slicer program (Cura) to ensure optimum settings when printing. The sheen on finished items is stunning and well worth the purchase. The filament is excellent quality and the price break for it make it a contender in the huge 3d printing market. I will be purchasing more of this, with the wife already eyeing up the silk bronze colour. Highly recommended and easy to use. This review is my own thoughts and I have not received any payment/concession from supplier in return for a favourable review.

I've been trying several brands over the just few months with my Flashforge Finder printer. This has to be about the best I've tried, it prints well, sticks to the bed (with the usual later of glue from a stick). I've had very few failed prints, models are printed well with no weak spots. The gold it really bright and glossy too! All in all an excellent purchase.
