Army Green BUG-A-SALT 2.5 Bug-Beam Value Pack

Here in Arizona, there are lots of scorpions that like to hang out on our (cement block) fences. I use a UV LED light to find them at night. Once located, The bug-a-salt does a great job knocking them out of business. It took a couple practice shots against a sheet of aluminum foil (target dot vs. shot pattern) to get the laser sight dialed in ... but it continues to be accurate, effective, and a whole lot of fun.

I like that it operates like a real shotgun, best part is the safety auto engages after every shot (important so you don't accidently fire it). Took some getting use to by my friends, but once they learned how to cock it, take off the safety, aim and fire they really enjoyed shooting flies and those Lantern Flies that are all over NYC.Took a crack at an adult cockroach, it was on the outside of my screen. It didn't have a chance from 3 inches away. It splattered and pieces fell to the ground.Definitely not for kids, and never point a gun (even if it's a toy) at anyone!

awesome customer service!I was having trouble with the cocking mechanism- it was my fault, I didn’t realize the thing you pull back then needs to she pushed forward again and stay in the forward position - so I called the number on the instructions and immediately a human answered and helped me. I’m not used to being able to call someone for help so this felt extremely luxurious.Once I got it working I found a fly and got him on the first try. It took a couple shots because Los Angeles flies are mutant giants but eventually I got him and his homies.The puff of “smoke” when the salt shrapnel hits is very satisfying.Overall this is a very fun way to eliminate flies and as someone with minimal gun skills I can report that it is not difficult to successfully use this. the bug beam makes it even better. Highly recommend.

Bugs don't know what hits them. Works great up to about 8 feet away but let's accurate more than that. Laser attachment helps a lot. The safety/arming switch is a little annoying but I get it. Someone could lose an eye.

Kills flying pests easily what more could you want

Flies have been driving me crazy all year! Bought zappers.... zevo spray and sticky traps (with SOME success) but what has REALLY ticked me off was being able to see the little #$%^&& sitting right in FRONT of me, but taking off before I come do anything! No more!I'm a Marine Nam-era veteran.... from a family of competitive shooters. I love this thing. So far I have a 100% kill rate... including a huge spider and a mosquito hanging on the ceiling!I especially love that the item from THIS SELLER includes the laser sight. If you only have the gun, you WANT the site!The thing I don't like is that it has a safety. Safety systems are usually good....but THIS one, if you release it to shoot and the bug moves you are committed to firing the shot someplace safe before setting it down. I don't leave the thing "cocked". Partly for safety but mostly the protect the springWorth every bloody cent!

Fun, accurate and less disgusting then typical swatting. We live in a rural area that attracts horse flys. We have fly screens, but somehow those clever buggers find there way in. They don't last long with this salt gun though. My only complaint is the high price tag, but maybe it shouldn't be.

The media could not be loaded. This is a fun idea the gun looks great the lazer makes you feel like scar face in your house. I can see this as a great funny gift to give someone. The gun is easy to load and feels satisfying to cock back the safety is a nice feature so your kid doesn’t shot their eye out. So why 3 stars?…. Well I was in my office when I heard a buzz I got excited as it would be my first time on the hunt with this gun… I saw the fly on my window seal mocking me with its buzzing wings I quickly ran to the kitchen to get my high tech weapon. I turned on the lazer pointed directly at the fly. The lazer did not seem to bother the fly at all…. He buzzed his wings continuing to mock me with the buzz buzz buzz. I pulled back the slide hearing the satisfaction of the gun cock back I used my thumb to release the safety… it was going down only one of us was making it out alive I closed the door to my office cornered the fly on the window seal and aimed the lazer right between his eyes…. There was no escape. I pulled the trigger releasing the deadly salt at what seemed to be a high speed I eagerly waited for the fly to be blown back into tomorrow. I felt like Arnold Schwarzenegger in terminator releasing the round from his pump shot gun. But when the salt impacted on the fly nothing…….. the fly stood it’s ground and didn’t move an inch… I quickly reloaded and fired again…. Nothing I reloaded again got an inch away and fired again…. It did push the fly back but he continued to buzz I fired several more shots finally the fly was pushed to the bottom of the window seal… but still alive…. Buzzing in a struggle for his life. I was hoping for a quick kill painless shot to the head…. But what I got was a long painful battle I tortured the fly to death. I dropped the gun salt all over my hands I looked at my office with salt everywhere… so much salt it changed me…. I don’t like who I see in the mirror any more. Sometimes my mind hears him buzzing… but I know he is gone… this weapon is not for the faint of heart… maybe I got a dud? Maybe not… but I can’t in good Conscience give this gun a five stars not after all that has happened….
