Citra Solv Concentrated Cleaner & Degreaser - Valencia Orange 32 Fl Oz, Effective, Versatile Cleaning Solution, Natural Ingredients, Biodegradable

This stuff is fantastic. I love it for two specific purposes. One, I broke a bottle of fish oil all over my kitchen floor. I then wiped it up with microfiber towels and tossed them on my bathroom floor for later cleaning, then mopped my floor with my Bona microfiber pad. Unfortunately for me, I had no idea how hard it was to remove fish oil from fabric...that stuff is NASTY. Some of it must have contaminated clothing items that were on the floor nearby the towels I had used, because I ended up with two loads of clothing that smelled like fish, plus all my microfiber cleaners were unbearably smelly. I washed the clothing and microfiber several times, trying dawn dish soap, vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice. The smell faded slightly on the clothing and not at all on my microfiber. I soaked the loads overnight in more vinegar, clothing still smelled. I bought this as one last thing to try, soaked the infected clothing in a bucket with about 1/3 cup of this and 2 gallons of water, then washed again. Finally! The fish smell was gone in most items! It took another soak for a few extra items (synthetics hold the smell more than cotton), and I'm pretty sure the smell is gone. It does remain to be seen if the smell returns after wearing and sweating in the clothing (as happened to a few items we thought were cured before I tried the citra solve). I do notice the slightest smell in my bona pads when they get wet, but they were salvaged and hopefully the smell will completely dissipate after a few more washings (which is why I say citra solve is "very close to a miracle cleaner". Second, my son works in a fast food kitchen and I tried everything to keep his uniform from stinking up the bathroom. Even after washing, the smell of grease permeates the bathroom and my son refuses to keep the clothing in his bedroom. I tried a few capfuls in the wash along with detergent and it helped immensely (I previously tried the above methods plus store bought "degreaser" cleaners to no avail). After the first washing, I have since used just one capful and it has been enough to keep the stale grease smell under control (not completely gone, but much, much better). Btw, that amount is for one mini load that only contains his chef coat, tshirt, and pants. So thank you Citra Solve for doing what no other cleaner was able to do.

Great product - cleans almost anything. Read instructions as it can damage plastic if used neat.

I use this for a variety of things around the house. It is great for getting rid of gunk. I use it on tree sap on clothing. It's probably not recommended for the laundry - I have had it stain when I've used too much, or on the wrong fabric - but for our working clothes that would otherwise be ruined with sap I figure it is worth the risk. I also like the scent. It is a great cleaner and I've used it for years. It seems expensive, but a tiny bit goes a very long way so it is actually economical.

This is a remarkable product! I can use in my laundry to help remove a spot and at the same time add a small amount to the laundry load for deep cleaning and freshness. I use with soap it to clean the floors. I have used this product for many years.

I first discovered this product when I had my own cleaning business. I wanted to avoid breathing in chemical fumes but needed something that would get the job done. This is it! First of all, the scent is amazing! It is made with orange oil and smells like fresh oranges (not a fake orange smell like some products.) This is my go to surface cleaner. I dilute it with water in a spray bottle for regular cleaning. Counters, floors, cabinets, etc. I put a few drops in the laundry to get smells out and pre-treat grease stains on clothing before washing. Works as a room deodorizer: pour some in a bucket and add very hot steaming water. The steam will carry the sent throughout the room. (I used this method in my car when I ran over a skunk one time and no amount or airing out would get rid of the smell.) Afterwards, use the cooled off liquid to clean with. Use it full strength for tough cleaning including getting rid of sticky residue from adhesives. I love this cleaner so much that I give spray bottles of it to friends. It is expensive, but it is a concentrate and will last a while.

Citrasolv ROCKS. It cleans better than most of the "name brand" chemical cleaners I used to use. Citrasolv, it is biodegradable, totally safe, and smells good without chemical "perfume agents". It cuts through kitchen grease better than ammonia-based cleaners. It gets all the odors out of the bathroom and cleans my 1928 bathtub without abrasives. We are on grey water which makes a challenge to find biodegradable products that REALLY WORK. I am a "clean freak" and usually disappointed by "wimpy" natural cleaning products but I would use Citrasolv even if I weren't on greywater because it works better than anything else out there. Plus its made in USA by an independent company - not a giant corporate. The concentrate goes a long way and can be diluted and put in a sprayer or used full-strength on particularly nasty dirt & grease. Worth every penny and lasts a long time.

I bought this as an alternative to Melaleuca’s Mela Magic. It smells good and cuts grease ok. I think Mela Magic works a bit better. Unfortunately, both of them are a bit expensive.

my own bottle came damaged, but that was a shipping problem (resolved quickly and nicely by amazon). so let me tell you about the product in general, as i've been using it faithfully for a dozen years. first, don't be put off by the price. it is extremely concentrated. i place just a bit in another bottle and fill the bottle with water. the product is orange skin.. nothing else. absoluely devine! it cleans and de-greases beautifully, but disinfects as well. i put the smallest bit in my clothing wash-water and it kills germs. after cleaning the house (or laundry) the air has the lovely scent of oranges. yum...so much better than amonia, bleache, vinegar, ANY of the cleansers on the market. warning. handle with care. at full strengh, it will sting your skin . use it with care.
