Outstanding value, great performance!
I am not a professional photographer by any means, simply an enthusiast, but I really love this lens. It is sharp as a tack and the auto focus is quick. It may not have as many bells and whistles as the Sony prime, but has exactly what it needs to take stellar photos. I've owned the lens for over a year and a half and am very pleased. The attached shot was taken at a local concert featuring Leonid And Friends.

Great Bokeh, Solid Lens, Sharp
This lens is great. It was very sharp in the field. Took this at 1.8, 1/3200, ISO 125. Looking forward to trying sports photography next. Great bokeh. Love the two settings for aperture ring and focus ring. Can't wait to throw an extension tube on it and try some macro photography. Very solid lens!

My new favorite lens!
I’ve been enjoying photography as a hobby for about 7 years now and love to mostly take pictures of my family and nature. I’ve never really considered a 135mm prime lens before since I already have a 70-200 zoom lens I use a lot already. However, the faster aperture coupled with the lighter weight makes it much more likely for me to bring when we go out to the park, a sporting event or for general outdoor shooting. I’m in love with the image quality results I get and appreciate the features it has to limit focus ranges or set it up for astrophotography (which I haven’t tried yet but would like to do in the future). The professional may see added benefits by bumping up to Sony’s G Master alternative for faster auto focus, but for a hobbyist like me, this lens can provide me with all the bells and whistles I want with image quality that seems to rival what other lenses double its price point can do.

Identical, if not better, to the original Sony G Master lens
Wow. All I can say is I'm super impressed with this lens. It has surpassed my expectations. The picture quality and performance mirrors that of its Sony G Master counter part at a fraction of the price. $699 compared to $2k +. This lens is phenomenal.I will say, it is on the slower side of Auto Focus but if you're doing anything but sports or fast moving objects, you'll be fine....otherwise, spend the extra money and invest on the OG G Master.

Excellent sharpness, light in weight and good value
This is a review after half year using it.Excellent sharpness, fast autofocusing speed, good pricing, still remains the lightest in weight around the 135mm f1.8 e-mount lens in 2025.However the firmware is not up-to-date, I ordered this lens at Nov 2024 and came with version 4 (2022), I have to buy the Lens Station to update to version 5(2023) for my A7C2.At the moment of writing this comment, I've already own both 50150GM and samyang 135mm f1.8. I would still recommend this lens.
