Efficient shape! Short and squat instead of tall & tapered.
I actually have loved this thing so far. It's like a toaster for water! It's only been 6 wks but it works fast and is just the right size, with an opening I can fit my hand into to wash the inside. And I love the viewing window. My only complaints are that A) when I opened the box it looked like it had been returned to the vendor, and then shipped to me without checking it between customers, because the outside of the kettle had large finger smears on it and it was resting in the box with zero packaging or padding. But the inside of the kettle looked brand new, never been touched. So I kept it. B) I haven't used it much and it's got little spots in the finish inside like the beginning of water scaling, but This might be totally normal for the inside of a kettle, I have never had one before. Plus Vegas tap water is fairly hard. So I wouldn't call this a product defect, more like an inevitable wear issue with kettles. I will say that I always empty the extra water out of it promptly, and I close the lid once the inside is dried. But so far I'm happy not boiling water in the microwave anymore! Update: it's been well over a year and we use this thing twice a day and it's performing great. The scaling that appeared that first month hasn't really progressed, and we should be de-scaling it anyway we just don't. Anyway I'm v satisfied, what a good value.

Great product
Looks nice enough to stay on my counter. Turns to a boil incredibly fast. Easy to clean if you follow the instructions. Holds enough for 3 or 4 people to have tea or coffee. I have 0 complaints......

Works well for me
I've been using this hot water kettle for a couple of months now and really like it. We use it for pour-over coffee, hot tea, making instant oatmeal - lots of things. It heats up much faster than water on the stove, faster even than cooking multiple oatmeal bowls in the microwave. You can heat up the water for all of them quicker with this pot. I've had no issues that other reported, no problems with the shut off when it reaches boiling point, nothing like that. I'm not a 5-star person on most products, but this one? I have a hard time finding anything wrong.

Works well. Base is flimsy.
At $16.98 (May 2023) was a good value. Have been using for over 2 months and it has been great. Top opens up for access to clean it. Only negative is that the base is very lightweight and tends to move around when returning the kettle to the base. Not really as big a problem as I initially thought it would be but my previous kettle had a heavy base that I preferred. Good value for under $20.

Pot smelled like chemicals. I was not sure if it was in the metal or plastic.
I had to wash this water heating device three times with water almost to the top and 3 heaping tablespoons of baking soda to get the stench out of either the metal or the plastic molding around the closures and the spout or both. If I had not burnt so many of my old pots and pans I might have returned it. In this day and age to have that kind of metallic-plastic smell is unacceptable. My friend who recommended it to me has a poor sense of smell and taste. I know I cook for her. But this new ovente was not useful until I really cleaned it three times. After the first washing the hot water smelled bad and it overshadowed the taste of my tea. The company needs to look at this, because otherwise it is a good product.

Heats water very well, nice small capacity, a few irritating habits
I wanted to be in love with this kettle. It works well to heat water and I have it so we will partner for the duration, I imagine. However, it is not what I wanted even thought it appeared it was. I'm picky so maybe it is just me but I will share what I don't like and why in case it aligns with anyone else's interests. I was looking for a pot that would heat just around 1 liter and did not take up much counter space. I had a Hamilton Beach plastic one for years that was nearly perfect except it was plastic and my kitchen is stainless and my counters pretty spare. I used it daily but always stored it in a cabinet between uses. My goal was to find something that looked nice and did not take a lot of space. I was not sure if I would try to leave it on the counter or put it away. As it turns out, the bottom for this is very lightweight and the cord heavyweight. Consequently, it flops around when the kettle is not on it. That might not be an issue unless you want to put it in a cabinet. The bottom and a pretty long cord have to be dealt with and it is not friendly. The thickness of the cord means it won't "wind up" or lie neatly in a drawer. It just unfurls. And, when you lift it, the cord come out of the U shaped slot that it sits in to allow the base to sit flat on the counter. Consequently, putting it in a drawer or cabinet is a two-handed, two step, one unfurl thing. It is irritating for a frequent maneuver. I said to myself, well, just leave it on the counter. But, while it is smaller, it is shorter and not a lot narrower than large pots.It takes a pretty decent bit of real estate. It is not huge but certainly it is of consequence. Right now, since it is winter and I drink more tea, it is sitting on the counter. Sometimes when I remove the heavier pot the lightweight base tips slightly and the cord comes out of the U so I have to re-position the base before I put the kettle back on it. The second concern that I have, and one that may foreshadow a divorce, is that the spring-release for the top is not 100% reliable. Sometimes it opens fine and sometimes it sticks. On bad days, I have to turn the water off, put the kettle on the counter and fiddle with it. Maybe I have a cranky one or maybe it does not like me but it is concerning when the pot is only a few months old.

Great product, but fingerprints on the surface
This kettle works really well! It's easy to use/clean and when it's full it heats up the water in about 5 minutes. The only complaint is a cosmetic one...there is a visible hand print on the side of the kettle that doesn't wash off. I don't know if it was there from where it was produced or what, but it's a clear hand print that's slightly darker than the kettle, so it's pretty visible. I don't care enough to return it, but I'd recommend looking it over before using it!

It works fine.
The unit is easy to use and clean. It heats pretty fast and shuts off on it's own. The pop-up top is a little glitchy to open but eventually works.
