Worst guitar in my collection! Even a big baby taylor outperforms this junk.
The only reason I bought this guitar, without having played one before or knowing anyone that plays one, is because I felt the price was worth the risk... these guitars sell for an absurd amount for what you get... I managed to get this for a very good price through amazon. The pros:(1) This is an absolutely beautiful guitar. The woods and the craftsmanship are simply superb.(2) Straight out of the box this has the BEST, factory, intonation of any guitar I have ever owned or played. I have high end Taylor's, Martins and many custom builds and I can assure you the intonation on this guitar is truly second to none.(3) Action. It is so easy to adjust the action. This for me was a big selling point.(4) Very clear and crisp sound.Cons:(1) Absolutely flat as it gets. I mean this thing is flat as hell. Mike is a hell of a salesman but I can assure you no matter what his videos say, this is an absolutely flat sounding guitar. At least this, model is. Maybe I got a lemon... like I said, I don't know anyone that plays this instrument so I was the first of all my friends to get it. With that being said, I don't have any model to compare this to. The flatness is especially apparent with the bass notes, which is unexpected for a dreadnought. Even my Jumbo maple body guitars have more sustain in the bass notes than this guitar. Just think of a dry, dry, dry sound which is very appearant especially on the bass strings. I can't emphasize this enough: this guitar is flat sounding as flat sounding can get.(2) Walnut fretboard!!!!! Why?! Why?! Of why does riversong insist on using walnut fretboards so much. If you are used to Rosewood, maple and ebony fretboards trust me on this: walnut will feels very coarse and it is difficult to move with ease. It's hard to be "fluid" with this fretboard. It's just not smooth at all. It's pretty but that is about it. This is such a beautiful guitar until you reach the fretboard... it's like throwing hub caps on a Maserati. I feel that the walnut wood selection may also add to the "flatness" mentioned earlier.(3) Overall sound sucks! It does not sound like a regular guitar and I mean that in a very bad way... I will put it this way: I have a vast guitar collection and the majority of my guitars are high end so I definitely know what a quality instrument sounds like. I can assure you there are entry level Alvarez and Yamaha guitars that outperform this guitar. Needless to say, for a fraction of the cost; a significant fraction. I would also like to state that I am neither a Yamaha nor Alvarez fan which in itself says alot about how this Riversong guita performs--poor, very poorly. There is a reason why renowned artist do not use these guitars. I will keep the guitar only because I got it extremely, extremely, extremely cheap compared to what it goes for online. Although I collect guitars I don't really see the need to hold on to this one. Selling it for a profit makes much more sense to me. This will definitely appeal to anyone looking for and extremely flat sounding guitar. I personally do not have any use for this instrument.I have various type of guitars, from cheap to very expensive. Although the craftsmanship and "technology" are fascinating, this guitar fails miserably at being a guitar. It's more like a "statue" piece. I really wish I could love this guitar as it is absolutely gorgeous. But looks do not equal tone.As of 04/09/20, I am still regretting buying this instrument very much. The guitar looks awesome but sounds like crap. I haven't been able to resell it and I have tried to sell it for far less than what I bought it for (and I got it for very cheap). The best I can describe the sound: just imagine playing an electric guitar unplugged and amplifying that sound. It sounds clear but has 0 overtones. Incredibly fast not decay and it's just overall lacking. I have been playing it alot hoping to find something to like about it. It just does not lend itself well to most styles... just youtube and listen to it. Believe me it sounds even worse in person. Please do yourself a favor and do not buy this junk. If you are collector you may want to have it... but if you are a guitar player you will find there is no real use for this guitar. It sucks!!!!!!! It really, really, really suuuuuucks! Even my cheapest guitar, big baby Taylor, outperforms this pile of junk.Update: after over a year of trying to get rid of this junk I was finally successful. I ended up selling it to guitar center... I am just happy this guitar is no longer in my collection. I went to GC yesterday to get a pair of strings and noticed they had not sold it yet. They even dropped the price twice since I sold it to them. Talked to the rep who bought it from me and he stated that he shows it to everyone that comes in but has had zero interest so far (after almost 2 months). Now I just need to get rid of my Riversong Tradition 3 and I will be a happy man. I tried to sell it GC when I went to buy a pair of strings but they said they couldn't make me an offer as the they had received O interest on the other Riversong I sold them. If you go on reverb you will see some of the sellers there have been trying to sell their riversong guitars for several years now...Trust me on this: stay away from these guitars. They are nice looking but have terrible sound. Just look on YouTube (they all buzz and sound dry as hell).Update 02/10/21: Several months have passed since I sold this junk to guitar center. They have been unable to sell it. The rep said they have sold their used inventory several times yet this is the only guitar they have been unable to sell. Go to guitar center online and type Riversong Guitar. You will see it listed in their Albuquerque location (the location I sold the guitar to).To everyone out there: please save your money and do not buy this junk. Trust me you will be sorely disappointed if you do. Save your hard earned money for a guitar that actually does what a guitar is intended to do.

Not sure about the other models but I'm probably sending this one back.
For starters it doesn't come with a hard shell case, seeing a foam case with covering. Guitar itself feels okay. The sound reminds me mostly of a $400 large body Seagull, probably only to the fact that there's no hardwood anywhere on the guitar's body. I was a bit concerned about that deficiency but figured that a company wouldn't put them out if it was that bad of an idea. There's a very good reason why bodies or Hardwood and cops are usually a softer wood which can act as a diaphragm to amplify the sound. Riversong tried to violate that principle I need to know they have a higher asking price in most stores I probably won't resell this one because I wouldn't want to put my name behind it
