THEY ARE WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY. THEY LAST FOREVER.

These have really kept our new stainless steel sink looking great. We have a large single sink so I buy two to cover it and put one on each side of the drain. Easy to clean, but they do stain (especially if subjected to coffee or tomato sauce) and I haven't found a way to get those stains out. You don't want to put a hot pan on them or they will warp, but they are inexpensive enough to replace as needed. I usually buy a couple new ones every year. I think they are totally worth it. They do exactly what they are supposed to do - protect the sink.

I'm not using this as a sink protector mat, so I will just say that up front. What I needed was a piece of plastic/polymeric material that was thick and had holes in the bottom. I wanted it to use to rest a metal storage rack on, next to my bathroom sink. The idea was that I would keep the metal rack off the counter surface and avoid rust stains, since water tends to accumulate in that area. Since what I wanted is probably not an item that really exists in terms of the exact size and shape of my choice, I went with a sink mat instead. I thought I could make it work and I was right.So anyway, this is large enough to go under my entire storage rack. It is actually a little too big for my purposes, but I tuck the excess between the counter and a shelf I have next to the counter and it seems secure. It is a thick plastic material (not quite 1/4 inch thick, and somewhat thinner at the edges) and it does a wonderful job of keeping my metal rack off the counter. In addition to the square holes you can see in the product image, there are some little nubs on the bottom that keep it raised ever so slightly from the surface you set it on. This is perfect, it allows water that accumulates to move/evaporate rather than stay puddled and grow bacteria.This is flexible and fairly lightweight. It did not have any plastic or chemical smell when it arrived.It is proving to be a little bit difficult to clean, though, for what it's worth. Perhaps I need to use something stronger than dish soap and a brush. But, it is mostly hidden from view, the way I'm using it, and it's not like I'm going to eat off it or anything, so I'm not too upset about that.

I purchased this mat to make a snuffle mat for a dog and it works perfectly. I also wash it in the washing machine with towels and it comes out nice and clean

It’s what I was looking for. It fits my sink and so far it’s holding up. The last one I had (not this brand) turned yellow over time. We’ll see about this one. Hope I don’t have to change my rating.

This sink protector looks great, but unfortunately there isn’t enough of a gap between the protector and the sink, so the water in the sink never dries. It’s made well and cleans easily but it didn’t meet my needs

A+A+A+ I have been using this style/brand mats for years. I also use the one that covers the sink divider on my double sink.My drain/disposer is off center, so I love being able to decide where *I* want the opening to be! The opening is square for themost part & I cut the opening with a good pair of scissors. Mine gets a lot of use so they tend to look cloudy [but still clear].After a while, they tend to be more susceptible to stains from some sauces [e.g. buffalo sauce] so I spritz with full-strength Clorox& it's gone! When they get "stiff" after prolonged use [> 1 year], I order another sink mat & use the "old" one in the bottom ofmy fruit, vegetable & dairy/cheese drawers!REMEMBER: REUSE, REPURPOSE, RECYCLE!!! :)

My mom used sink protector mats for years. I didn't think I needed them -- until I renovated my kitchen. These protect my beautiful new sink without obstructing flow. And they keep my heavy pots and pans from making a racket. So glad I was able to get clear ones, too.UPDATE: Well, we've used these mats and the divider protector for a long time -- maybe too long? Once we started using grind-your-own coffee, made very strong, the sink mats started discoloring. Now...no matter what I use to clean them (even straight bleach), they remain a mottled murky tan. They still protect perfectly but they're no longer beautiful. When ordering....keep your coffee consumption in mind (smile)
