This thing puts in WORK!
We live in a camper and humidity is our number one enemy because of how easily mold will grow. My partner did a ton of research and ended up choosing this one as while it is a little pricey, it actually works and it works really well. This is the first dehumidifier I have ever seen/had that you can actually run the water out of directly instead of having to unload the little water tray manually. Before we hooked ours into our washer drainage system, we tested how much water it would pull out of the air in a 24hr period. The results? Over 9 PINTS! The performance honestly blew us away and we couldn't be happier with how low it keeps the humidity for us. We have temp/humidity gages in our camper as well. Prior to using this dehumidifier, our humidity level indoors was anywhere from 50-60+%. Now it never rises above 22%, which is lower than even when we lived in a desert! It works so well that you'll really have to stay on top of your skincare routine so you don't get dried out lol. The unit does put off a small amount of heat, so we run a fan in the same room to try and keep the room from getting too warm. In the winter, the heat is an added bonus. We run our dehumidifier 24/7 for our purposes, but I'm sure most people in traditional housing wouldn't need to run it that much. Be sure to check the square footage for the space you want to use this in, as I said it works great for us in a camper but every situation is different! It does make like a white noise sound while running but it never bothers us. We've had this for a couple of months and no leaks to date (as a superstitious Irish person I feel weird saying that because now I worry I just jinxed myself but thats what Amazon wants to know lol)

Works great ...
works great ... had it for a few weeks now and have it turned on daily (on low) in my unheated detached garage (garage temps bt. 35-50F recently ... external 20F-low 40's) ... it's reduced humidity from ~70% to below 50% ... and I just leave it on low ... am surprised at how much water it removes so empty it often ... initially 2x/day ... now only ~ 1x/dayalso easy to setup and use ... currently utilizing the contained collector ... thinking about adding an external 5 gal jug so don't have to empty so often ... it comes with a plastic line to do sooverall I am very happy with it ... hope it continues to work well

Works great! Makes our cold, damp, house- less of both. It warms the air slightly, as it removes moisture.Temperature and humidity readings seem to reflect closely with external instruments.Has a timer.Great to run while the shower is on, set it for an hour. Good for cold mornings with condensation on windows. Drying damp towels on a clothes rack.Seems to help prevent mold!

Worked great for a few months now shuts off randomly
Worked great for a almost 4 months then it started shutting off randomly. I tried unplugging it for a few hours or a few days and it still acts up. Sometimes it will run 5 minutes or 5 hours then screen goes black and shuts off. On button doesnt work most of the time now except to shut it off. If I let it sit plugged in sometimes it just turns on and runs for a bit on its own.Manual says manufacturer warranty is 1yr but Amazon listing says 90 days. Which is it? I guess It doesn't matter because I haven't received any response to emailing them.Update- It completely stopped working now. Screen is black and unit no longer turns on with button presses or on its own like it had been. Tried unplugging 24 hrs followed by plugged in 24hrs, unplugged 4 hours, plugged in 1hr and now writing this.-Update- Manufacturer just responded that they will replace the unit.I also bought another right when it started acting up because I couldn't be without one in my print room. That unit has been working well for almost a week now.Hopefully this unit and the replacement they send lasts longer than the 4 months my first one did. I bought the extended 3yr warranty on the 2nd one just incase.

Good Dehumidifier for Low Temperatures
Some of the reviews complained about reliability so I purchased the extended warranty. Hopefully it won't be required.I purchased this dehumidifier because I'm using it in low temperatures. I was using a compressor dehumidifier, but it is almost useless at low temperatures. The instructions says it works down to 34 degrees fahrenheit. The temperature dropped to 32 degrees and the display for temperature said LO, and it stopped dehumidifying. The vinyl hose that is included is too stiff at low temperatures. Therefore I purchased some 10mm ID silicone tubing which stays flexible over a wide temperature range. There is a knock-out on the back of the unit for a drain hose. So I have it hooked up like that.I give the wifi feature zero stars. It will only connect to a dedicated 2.4GHz SSID. I have a mesh router that allows a connection to both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands using one SSID name. The Ivation app (in the fine print) says you have to configure the router so each band has a separate SSID name. I don't want to do that. I prefer the convenience of having one SSID name. Clients on either 2.4 or 5 GHZ only need to log-in to the one SSID name.I suppose the dehumidier will work fine for those with an older 2.4GHz router. Or for those folks that don't mind splitting their network into the two separate bands. Not sure why Ivation is behind the curve on this. All my other devices don't have this issue. Using the wifi is not that big of a deal, since manual control is good enough for me.There appear to be very few consumer grade dessicant dehumidifiers available. The commercial ones are expensive. So far so good, it's doing a good job dehumidifying. I'm pleased.
