Will this relieve pressure on the lower thumb joints (CMC joints)?

This decision allowed us to obtain a high-quality product at a favorable consumer price, keeping in mind that creating a contoured block is much more complex than creating a flat, rectangular block. I found these unstable and painful in downward facing dog and I’ve tried several adjustments. How is anyone having success with downward dog?

As I don’t know the physical challenges you may have, I will only speak for myself. I would do downward facing dog with the lower level of the wrist buddy and at that level, I don’t experience any instability and the wrist buddy is certainly more supportive than a regular block and less stressful than the floor. That said, I personally would not use the wrist buddy for downward facing dog simply because I can do this posture without them. This may simply come down to what works for one person does not work for another. I suspect that you have physical issues which just don’t make these blocks the right choice for you.

Is it formamide free?

After checking, I have found that formamide is not present in Wrist Buddy yoga blocks because they must have a higher density and hardness to support the user's full or partial body weight. Formamide is used in play mats and foam toys to make those items have a purposely low density with a softer, squishier feel.
