The Trigger system is great but the remote it flimsy
I bought this system and I love it! The install was a breeze and the convenience of having a remote system for my lights is quite an upgrade. However, the plastic remote that is provided broke after 2 days of use. The internal part of the second switch broke from me switching it on. Perhaps I just luck of the draw? I wound up having to epoxy the switch to try and make a repair because I didn’t feel like having to deal with returning it although now I wish I would have.Other that, this product is top notch, a great invention, and I still highly recommend!

Excellent product with minor flaw
I bought this for controlling the ditch lights on my car because I did not want to run more wire through the firewall. I used 3M hook and loop to fasten it to the top of the fuse box under the hood, then wired up the lights. The main let down is the remote controller. It has a magnet built in to the back, but I felt it should come with a piece of flat steel for those of us without Jeeps or roll-bars that would fit the base plate it comes with. Also, it uses CR32 batteries to power the remote, but the battery covers are trash that fasten and unfasten with ¼ turn—they open on their own without much provocation. Finally, the remote is basically cheap-feeling junk. The switches take too much force to engage. The Trigger4 itself seems solid and well-built. I just don’t know why their controller is trash. The app doesn’t cure the defects. Who wants to have to pull out a phone, launch an app? It’s not convenient at all.Despite the garbage remote, I like the product overall. It works well, and the remote means that if your devices aren’t wired to the accessory power, you can operate them remotely. In my case, my lights can be used from my tent if I need to light an area.Compared to their competitors, this unit is quality and its only defect is the controller. Hence, 4/5 stars.

Wireless Remote Lasted less than 12 months
I have had this Trigger 4 plus installed on my 2022 Frontier for almost 12 months and have had some issues id like to share. As with others, my main reason for buying this over other wired models is the unit does not need to puncture the firewall to give you remote control. This is also where some functionality has some issues.First, the remote that is included is CHEAP. As others have stated, it's real cheap plastic, and getting the 2 batteries to stay in while keeping the very thin rubber washer in place is near impossible. After about 7 months, the remote just stopped working. Replaced the batteries, tried to repair, nothing. I did reach out to the manufacture about the issue in less than 12 months. I never received a response.Since this product has an app, I downloaded the app on my iPhone and started using that.At first this was a great fix, although this meant I had to keep my phone handy. More times than not, using the device with the app caused me to leave my lights on while leaving my vehicle. Not good. This also caused connection issues, where I had to repair and relearn the device with app numerous times.Id also point out the lack of updates and development on the app. After 10 months of use, I have some questions. Why is the 4 plus not fused to the battery like the 6?Do you need relays with this or not?Is there any plans on further development of app?Currently I have my $200 ditch lights on my $150 mounts sitting, with this $280 wireless box no functioning. If I had to do it all over again..... I would just puncture the firewall and be done with it!Good luck and be safe out there!

Cheaply made remote.
The remote is cheap. The remote cover is cheap too and doesn't hold the battery in place. As soon as I hit the trails and grab the remote for night illumination, the cheap thing falls apart. In the dark too. Not worth it and when you use the website to resolve issues, you end up chatting with a bot. Totally inconvenient.I told a trigger rep this at an overland expo event and he took my address and contact but still blew me off. Get a different one.
