Q: does it work with zoom

Hi - I have used this with google meet, so should work in Zoom or Teams too. As long as its showing in your laptop / pc as a selectable item should work fine.

Q: I'd like to use this as a security camera viewable from my PC. Can it be used whilst connected to a power supply to leave it permanently on?

You can use this camera whilst plugged into your pc.

Q: Can it be plugged into power socket or only powered by battery as I wish to place it away from the laptop but have a power supply.

It's rechargeable so it works just from battery, or you can have it plugged in and run as well. It's not amazing clarity but does the job and very handy as you can move it as needed. We use it in a big meeting room, moving it to adjust to the amount of people on the table
