This was a Christmas gift for my mom and she loved it. The birds look real and they sound like real birds. The only thing I was disappointed about was it said the birds are supposed to move when they make sounds and they don't move at all.

Both birds "sing" and their beaks, heads, tails, and wings move. They do a "call and answer" where one bird sings and moves, then the other one answers in kind, then they both sing and move together.Assembly is a little tricky because the birds' foot pegs have electrical contacts in them, and the birds won't move unless the foot pegs are all the way into the holes in the branches they sit on. The foot pegs are a bit delicate, so inserting them completely into the holes takes some gentle force and a little patience.Once the birds are happily seated, they'll chirp and tweet and dance, and are pretty fun to watch.Solid deal for the price. Recommended.

In the winter, I miss the sound of chirping birds. The sound does not obnoxiously go off too often. It is triggered by a loud sound like a clap or slamming door. So if you want to keep it going you have to constantly make noise. There is also a button to silence it. The birds and their movements/sounds are realistic. It's a nice surprise to my company.

So, I ordered this for my cat. I was trying to attract her to her new cat tree. You know, lure her with birdsong because she just wouldn't use the thing. She's very interested in birds when the window is open, so I thought that chirping birds would work. Nope. She doesn't even notice it. Catnip didn't work, either. On the other hand, I really like them. It didn't say this in the description, but it doesn't just have a motion sensor to activate, it also starts singing when there's a sudden loud noise, like a sneeze. While they clearly look like plastic birds, they also bob up and down and open their beaks when they sing. So they don't just look like a figurine.

The birds are wonderful and the sounds are great. But, the red bird came with the wire cut (looks like it was cut or melted when applied to the plastic piece) so the red bird does not move at all. Still a really great item. I bought another for a friend after she saw how lovely they were. Hopefully the next one will not be defective.

The media could not be loaded. My 92 year old dad just lights up when they sing their songs and they are loud and it activates like "The clapper" and any loud sounds.Assembly: It takes a slight hand, do not force the leg pegs into their holes, do it slowly. I can see how someone with meat hooks could break the leg pegs.No complaints here, we love it!

Product was a resounding success. Everyone that seen it loved it. When it was activated and chipping even fooled my Bunge and had her singing along with it.
