Pros...Extremely lightweight.Buttons hold securely yet are easily unfastened when needed.Pockets hold items securely.Inside pocket is deep and spacious.*Cons...By itself there is little heat retention.Arm holes are not cut so as to allow a full range of motion.*The way that the exterior pockets are positioned and placed, i'll not be standing around with my hands in then and what ever you may put in there...there is no "ease of retrieval" option.since i've already worn this for a work shift, there is no option for a return for me. i would recommend that if you are looking for a vest as part of a cold weather layering system, explore more options.i would not buy this item again.

I bought this vest a while ago, and it was a bit snug (my fault), so it sat in my closet for a while and proceeded to put on more weight to the point the buttons would pop. I have since lost a lot of weight, and putting on this vest was one of those non-scale victories! Now it's nice and loose, and it couldn't be a better time to fit in it. It's early spring in Massachusetts, so it's nice to wear as it's still somewhat cool but not so cold you need a jacket. I absolutely love this vest, and I keep it in my car in case it cools down at night!

I wear vests in the fall, spring, and warmer winter days to hide a CCW weapon that I wear in a OWB holster or IWB holster depending on which weapon I am carrying. I can conceal a Sig P225 under this vest with minimal printing. It looks great too. I bought this as a slightly lighter and dressier alternative to a Carhart vest.

I hate leaving this review but I’ve purchased this vest and flannel shirt from LW and both have been returned. This vest was not warm at all and the stitching was not strong, tearing left and right. Returned it ASAP! Other reviews have made similar claims.

Almost every time I wear this vest I get positive comments on it. This is a great looking versatile vest that can be paired with khakis and a dress shirt for the "business casual" look, or be worn with jeans and a flannel shirt to complete the "western rancher" look - or mix and match with just about anything in your closet - it is a good looking vest. The vest not only looks great, but is extremely comfortable. I would think it could be worn fall through spring and be counted on to keep you warm and looking good!I love the zip-up cell phone pocket located inside the vest close to the snap together opening. However, I would have liked it even more if it had inside chest area pockets. A zipper up closure inside the snap closure would have been nice as well, but I'm OK with just the snaps. The main reason for giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of depth of the outside pockets combined with no inside chest pockets. If you are going to have shallow outside pockets (which this vest has, or at least has compared to similarly styled vests), definitely put a couple of inside pockets on the vest. You could do this without sacrificing any of the great Western style. All in all though, this is a great looking vest that I would buy again (and wear over and over!).

My second best, this one. Size smaller then the last. Get your standard size if wearing with a thick hoodie or the like and want to button. To wear as an accessory to a flannel unbuttoned get a size down. They run big in general but there is a more noticeable difference in between 2 sizes, more so then other items that are similar. Would and have bought again. Very high quality for the price, have washed my first one many times, result was minimal shrinkage and no negative effects. In fact, once washed once or twice it looks almost better.

I was excited to get the vest. It fit well, but I expected something a little heavier. Within 24 hours one of the snaps pulled out of the material....and can't be fixed. The product also does not state that this " legendary" vest is made in China. Another disappointment. Description of " Whitetail, lengendary, longhorn, rancher".....seems to me that indicates USA made.

almost perfect. It is not thin, it is not thick. Very deep pockets, even if the opening of the pockets are a little bit small for my hands, that may be a good thing as for sure you will lose nothing from your pockets. The Interior Zippered Security Pocket is very deep, but too deep for me. The size seems a bit bigger than expected. When choosing the size, I followed the size chart and measured my chest. Maybe it is made on purpose to be able to wear another jacket beneath it.

This is so nice when feeling and wearing it. Its warm, looks and feels great. Wears true to size. This is the first product ive purchased from LW and I am very impressed. Super good price for what you're getting too! This is the happiest I've been with an online order to date. Great work everyone at LW.

found it a little large but as my wife sews she just took it in about an inch on each side below the arm holes and now fits perfect. nice material and looks good with casual wear. quite satisfied. thanks
