Thumb sucking? This nasty polish never heard of it. 10/10 tastes so bad and the taste last so long I only had to apply once. My daughter is 16 months and a comfort sucker, her thumb is so rough and dry due to this I tried gloves first but as soon as the glove came off to clean, the thumb went back in. Downside to this the first day it was so strong and she was trying so hard to suck her thumb she started drooling bc it tasted so bad and eventually threw up a bit because of it. And the taste transferred to cups from her mouth for two days so i kept washing the cups and gave her a wet rag to get the taste out. After that she hesitated to put her thumb in her mouth and a week later her thumb isnt even a thought. She switched to blanks for comfort. Use with caution, apply lightly!

Worked well to break the thumb sucking habit for my son! Tried it on my nail first just to understand how it would taste. First day he was inconsolable and by the second day was some whining and by the third day it was a thing of the past! Reapplied every morning, lunch time, and evening time before bed.

DO NOT USE THIS ON YOUR CHILD. I tested this junk on my own nails about 24 hours before applying it to my child. I can confirm, it's nasty stuff and leaves an unpleasant long-lasting aftertaste. I applied a very small amount (just a tiny little dot) to my 3 year old's nails because of repetitive, persistent nail biting. I gave it a couple of minutes and confirmed it was dry. The first time he put his thumb in his mouth he immediately expressed frustration with the bad taste. The second time he did it, about 5 seconds went by and then he projectile vomited all over the carpet. I cleaned him up and in about 20 minutes he became lethargic and fell asleep on the couch for a few hours, which he NEVER does during the afternoon. I had to monitor him while he slept to make sure he was okay. He woke up cranky and still lethargic and refuses to eat or drink water. We decided to remove this stuff from his nails and it won't come off. We tried nail polish remover, soap and water, and rubbing alcohol (both on his nails and my own). NONE OF IT WORKED. The varnish is gone but the bitter, sickening taste is still there. The guilt I feel for subjecting my child to this experience is immense. I do not recommend this product for children under any circumstances. DO NOT USE THIS ON YOUR CHILD.

It does work!! I have been trying to get my 5 year old to stop biting her nails since she was about 2. She would bite them till she was bleeding and for some reason would keep doing it whenever her nails started to grow back. I tried a different brand of nail polish before this one but she got over the taste pretty quick and then the pen dried up and she started biting her nails again. Well this time it is finally working! The first time I put these on my kids (my youngest wanted it on too since it looked pretty) they both gagged. And I do mean gagged. I seriously thought they were going to throw up. Thankfully they didn’t and the next time I put it on they didn’t gag at all and just said it was gross. After my 5 year old had been wearing it for several days her nails finally grew back! I had then stopped putting it on and, unfortunately, she went back to biting her nails again after maybe a few weeks. I then told her she had to have “nail polish” again to help her nails grow back and within a couple days she stopped biting her nails. Now whenever I take it out she lets me know she doesn’t bite her nails. So I guess it did its job! It just took a while. Overall I am pretty satisfied with this product! It is very expensive in my opinion. The bottle is very small, about the size of actual nail polish. But you get a decent amount of uses out of what is there. I am still worried my daughter might try biting her nails again later since she did so before but pretty confident she wouldn’t do it for long with this my putting this stuff on her. The color isn’t really “clear” as stated. If you put enough on it has a light brown look. (In the picture one hand has the polish and the other doesn’t.) This never bothered me or my kids. In fact I think my kids liked it. It didn’t wash off too much but that could be because of the way my kids wash their hands. The polish does dry pretty quick! I would recommend this before the pen thing I used before and when it comes to biting nails the price could be worth it.

My son has been sucking his finger since 3 months old, he’s 5 and is was getting calus on his fingers so I got this polish and used it twice on his fingers. my son hasn’t put a finger in his mouth in 6 months. Works wonders (Autism mom here approves of this product)
