This OBDII extension cable works exactly as described and has been a great help with my vehicle, where the port is recessed and angled near a trim panel—making it awkward to plug in scan tools directly. This extension lets me easily reposition the scanner without putting stress on the main port. The cable is well-designed: flexible on the flat side for easy routing, and a bit firmer on the narrow side, which helps it maintain its shape when bent into position. The length is just right to move the scan tool where it’s easier to view or interact with, especially during live diagnostics. I’ve been using this extension for several months with no signal issues, disconnections, or wear-related problems. The connectors fit snugly and lock in securely, and the strain relief near both ends feels durable. Pros: Great for recessed or awkwardly placed OBDII ports Flexible and easy to route, with decent durability Solid connections with no data loss or disconnects Compatible with multiple scan tools Cons: None for my use case, though the firmer side may take a little shaping if your space is tight If your OBD2 port is hard to access or at an awkward angle, this extension is well worth it. It makes scanning and diagnostics much more convenient without risking damage to your port or tool.

Not a necessity , but a high quality and useful add on for x tools scanners. The packaging is great! Lightening fast delivery, ahead of schedule.

This tool does so much for the price point! So easy and useful! The app (I installed on my iPad) makes this very close to a scanner that I paid $1000 for. So far the only disappointment is that unlike most other scanners, it doesn’t display the vehicle’s battery charge state. But as I said, for the cost it is so very useful, even on my Mercedes W223. (Which the ICON T10 @ $1,600 had difficulty with).

I have only needed to use it twice thus far, and it did what it was supposed to do. The cable itself feels durable in the hand and adds enough reach for my D7S to reach the front of the engine bay on any SUV. Customer service has been top notch through Xtool and if I ever lost this cable, I would not hesitate to purchase again!
