Good product

Well packaged in excellent ecological simple boxes. Item is essential, sound and gives peace of mind. There is a light so that you know it is on which could be smaller. I use this with a slow cooker when I am alseep or working outside and when leaving an item charging when out, or high energy item, or oil filled radiator if out left on low.

Good value for the money, I'm happy with the 2 I bought.

Tested on a known dodgy garden circuit. Damp has gotten into one of the outside boxes, and had been tripping my MCB in the house - taking all of the house sockets down with it. So I put a plug on the garden circuit and passed it through this RCD adaptor. Now it sparks and trips beautifully every time I put the plug in. The garden circuit now never works, but the MCB in the house consumer unit never trips. Instead this RCD unit trips out first which is great. It's doing exactly what it's supposed to do. I did spend hours searching for a mini MCB/RCD unit but it does not exist. Only these ones advertised as RCD. I do not think the dodgy circuit is leaking to ground, because the RCD in my consumer unit didn't trip - it was the MCB which was tripping. So I think there is a live-neutral short in the garden circuit, but the good news is that this unit (advertised as RCD only) seems to be detecting that short as well.
