SAVVY TABBY Snuggle Mice Cat Toys, 4-Packs

I got one of these in a subscription box and I absolutely had to order more of them. I have four cats and one of them is kind of an old stick in the mud. He's 12 and has inflammatory bowel disease, so he's been on prednisolone and chlorambucil for years. The prednisolone makes him fat and lazy (but it does control his intestinal condition). He rarely shows interest in toys.Anyway, this cat is also on mirtazapine (an appetite stimulant, among other effects). He has this one every three days, and about an hour after I give it to him, he wants to chew on toys. He was previously very fond of those sparkly balls with mylar threads sticking off, but he was able to sort of tear those apart and he was actually eating bits of them (and then they would come back up, hairball-style, but still, better not to risk a blockage at all!). So, we aren't doing those any more. I needed a substitute. Enter these toys.My cat LOVES these. It is his new mirtazapine-induced obsession. I'll be cleaning up the kitchen after dinner on the days he has mirtazapine and he will meow loudly and mournfully and when I will turn around, he will have brought this downstairs. He chews on it so much it is kind of crusty. And he always goes for the exact same type of toy. It seems these have replaced the sparkly mylar balls as his favorite, and I'm glad, because these are much sturdier.Note: my cat walks around with these in his mouth and chews on the fur. I think he likes the texture. He has shown no inclination to tear off the eyes, nose, tail, or ears, but that is something you will want to watch out for if your cat is destructive. He also hasn't been able to swallow any parts of it.If your cat has a chewing fixation, and especially if it seems focused on certain fluffy or stringy textures, these are a great option.

We are a multi cat household and years ago -- about 6 or 7, someone gifted us with one of these toys (in my second photo)."Blue Mouse" has been a favorite of all the cats and they go wild for it. Shockingly it has held itself together all this time minus one eye, hahaha. It's endured many moves as we've relocated a bunch. I was fortunate to still have a tag on the old one and managed to locate the item number to find it online! Seems silly, I know, but after buying tons of cat toys only for them to lose interest...Having that one special toy that seems timeless for them is really important.We are so happy to now have several Blue Mice and now some pink ones as well! From our kitten to our 14 year old seniors, they're all very happy.

got one of these in a Xmas stocking for my kitten and she plays with it soooooo much that had to find more!!! She can carry them all over the house, including up on the beds and just loves them! I will be back for more as these wear out!!

If your cat is the type that shows some interest in stuffed toys, this Savvy Tabby polyester/felt toy will provide LOTS of fun. I've bought dozens of variations of the "stuffed mouse" toy over the years (from Target/Petsmart/Walmart...catnip filled, crackly, knit & canvas), and this is the best by far.The moment I brought it home my cat was intrigued. Something about the big floppy ears, longer fur and long satiny tail have made it the go-to play toy. She's seven years old and will bat it around and fling it in the air like a kitten. It's withstood over a year of terror, with the only damage being part of a felt ear torn off.That said, I have a second cat who is frankly never impressed by any toys except dangling string. This did nothing for him. I highly recommend this product for cats who enjoy play toys- the best purchase I've made and I'm so glad Amazon carries them!
