Tarot Court Cards for Beginners: Bring Clarity to Your Readings (Llewellyn's For Beginners, 49)

Great book and companion to her Reversals book
Making my way through this and it’s a blessing. So much information to be gathered. Best for the starter kit for any new reader. Already have referred a couple people to this book in a starter kit of sorts and will continue. Downside is the way the book is broken up into sections of people (kings,queens,knight,pages/princess) and not suits (wands, cups, etc.). This makes for a tedious amount of time spent trying to find the suit and person you are looking for.

Tarot Court Cards for Beginners: Bring Clarity...
This book It is an excellent resource for anyone who is just beginning to explore life with the Court Cards! It is a very basic, clear to understand book . I think I had anticipated more from Leeza Robertson whom I had met some time back when she did a presentation on The Animal Totem Tarot here- she was so articulate and intense about her work [The Animal Totem Tarot is lovely.] Thus, I think I may have anticipated something more substantial or in depth . Alas, I needed to recall it is a book for "beginners" and on that note I have to say that very experienced Tarot readers might find this a useful resource but certainly every novice reader would benefit from reading this book to learn more about he court cards and what they mean in a reading......

I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did
Frankly, I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did. I loved the historical perspective, the insights into each of the Courts and descriptions of their places in the society of the time. Frankly, I learned a lot...expanding my understanding of the cards beyond my expectations. The book is good. Worth your time.

Highly recommended. Want to learn the Court Cards. Get this book!!!
Love this book. Court Cards are kind of hard to figure out. This book gives you really great historical information that makes understanding why there are court cards and how to think about them easy. Really wish this author would decide to also write a "full tarot" book. She had such an amazing way of helping you come to grips with these typically difficult cards.

Didn’t teach me anything as a beginner
I hated the setup of the book. I also did not like learning about Princesses of the tarot since they aren’t included in majority of decks. It was so confusing. I don’t recommend this book.

Thorough and Interesting!
Court cards are tricky for me, and Leeza's interpretations are thorough, interesting and have expanded my depth of interpretation for the Court cards. She details the history of the Page, Knight, Queen and King as roles in medieval and Renaissance society, as well as delineates among the differing categories for these cards. The child and princess for instance have different nuances than the page and knight.Found this a great resource!

I finally get it!
Finally a book that really gets me to understand the courts! All the books you say except for a small on the left handful are tarot books . This book is very simple and easy to go back to for reference if needed.

Brilliant book
I can't take it down since I received the book. Very interesting approach to these special cards. The author indeed created a sense of knowing the court cards as if you knew them as people. Loving the history behind each "rank".Highly recommend it to all who like to get to know the Court cards.

A book I found easy to read and understand
A book I found easy to read and understand. I would say it is a useful reference for beginners to help increase their general knowledge of tarot, but also for some like myself who although I have been using tarot for some years, still sometimes struggle with the concept of the court cards within a reading.

Lectura con desarrollo preciso y conceptos explicados con ejemplos muy claros. I love it!
No lo he soltado y me encanta ;)

Excelente
