Zoo Med PowerSun UV Mercury Vapor Lamps 160 Watts (2 Pack)

I've used these lights for many years for my tortoises while they spend the cold months indoors. They provide great heat and "sun like" qualities as proven by the excellent overall growth of my pets and in particular how terrific their shells look. My only complaint is with the vendors and how they were shipped. Some came in a box with packing; some came in an oversized box with no packing material so they were bounced around; and unbelievably, a two pack came with NO box--just an address stuck on the cellophane holding the two lights together. Pretty risky considering they are nearly $70/light. Thank goodness Zoo Med has great packing within the individual boxes. They are pricey but worth it.

thought was a decent bulb says 10,000 hours... i got just over 4,000. i bought again to see maybe one time issue, if happens again zoo med will be on my back burner.
