Full on house renovation and my staircase needed some rods in its life. I decided upon polished chrome to match the door handles I have. The rods I picked are a simple design but look great. The quality is very good and price point even better. I used an angle grinder with diamond cutting disc to get them to size. Though, a metal saw would do it no problem. There was an extra screw for each pair of fittings but I didn't need them. The supplied screws held up well and I just nipped them up, a little at a time with a electric drill but using all my force behind it. My carpet runner is thick pile and the carpet fitters used an equally thick underlay. This made getting the brackets screwed down tough going. In the end I put a slight bend in the rods by pushing them down over my thigh and this really helped when fitting them. Very pleased with the purchase and would happily recommend.

These stair rods are ideal and look great fitted with the stair runner. They are a bit thinner than I expected but do the job fine.

Brilliant job fitted this morning and look fantastic and made of good quality matieral and easy to install.

the bars were ok. the screws are sub standard, the first two screws snapped. i had to go buy proper strength screws to complete the job i also had 2 screws stuck in my stair case that i couldnt remove

We recently changed from traditional stair carpet to a runner and having read the other reviews of the stair rods we have to say in our opinion that these are extremely good quality for the price we paid. My husband is an electrician by trade and a difficult man to please so when I produced these stair rods (after the initial moans and groans! lol) he was pleasantly surprised by how easy these were to fit and the quality of the metal. He tried to cut the first one with a hacksaw which was in his words “an absolute nightmare” so by far the easiest way to cut them to the desired length was by using an angle grinder. After cutting and fitting the first one the rest were fitted in approx 40 minutes. There were no issues with the screws (and they provide plenty of them) we didn’t have the issues that others had had so perhaps this is a fixed issue? From our point of view the quality and overall cost including delivery was superb.

These stair rods are good quality and come complete with enough screws. The finials are attached to the support fixing. The rods can be cut with a hacksaw to reduce the length quite easily by a DIYer. Look great, and finish off the stairs nicely.

The carpet rods I bought is good quality and looks exactly like the pictures online. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it.
