I bought this to provide more cushion for my hands because I have arthritis in my thumb joint. It works great - my hands don't slip at all in various asanas. It also is good for knee padding. I haven't had it long enough to comment on durability but it seems very well made.

It has a very smell once we first open. It's a bit hard to keep it flat.It's a nice addition to a yoga mat, great extra cushion for knees.
