I am a Yeti fan turned RTIC for this mug !
Qualities that sold me on this style mug.....I love the attached stainless steel handle that does not go all the way to the bottom of the mug....so it fits in my car cup holder. The handle doesn't interfere at all! I also love the screw top lid with flip top. It makes this spill proof. you can close the lid and hold the mug full of liquid upside down and it does not leak! You can still put a straw in the open flip top if you want. You can also get a good size "chug of a drink" out of the opening if you are really thirsty.I have been a big fan of YETI for their durability and specific qualities. I will continue to shop for the qualities I like in both YETI and RTIC in specific drinkware designs. In the travel mug division...RTIC takes the win!The handle, the screw top lid and the smaller circumference... how the whole mug fits in my hand....have absolutely sold me on this mug! I personally have two of the 16 oz. and one of the 20 oz. (the 20 oz. is just a bit taller to accommodate for the extra 4 oz.) The colors are great! I have lilac(light purple) , flamingo (light pink) and very berry (deep dark pink). I use the 20 oz. for water/cold drinks with me and refill throughout the day and the 16 oz. for coffee. One other thing that I really like is how the rubber seal works! I use cream in my coffee and most lids have a rubber seal that touches the liquid and the coffee/creamer/liquid gets around that rubber seal so you have to make extra effort to get under the rubber seal cleaned. BUT this cup has the lid threaded so the coffee is stopped by threading/twisting the lid on.....the coffee only touches the rubber seal at the end to ensure the extra leakproof part. I still clean the lid well, but the rubber seal is rarely dirty because it doesn't usually even touch the liquid.I also got the white 16 oz. and charcoal 16 oz. for the men in my family. They like them, too! Although my dad says it doesn't keep his coffee hot enough..... please note that He wants it to be just short of boiling hot and sip it for hours.... and most cups don't do that! He still uses the mug....just accepts that is will cool down a bit for his liking. He also wants to take hours to finish the coffee and wants it to continue to be almost boiling hot that whole time. I feel this is unfair to expect from a mug...and he hasn't found a mug to do that yet. I think it keeps coffee hot for plenty long enough to drink it in a reasonable time. I love this mug!

Disappointing
I really wanted to love this.As far as functionality - keeping my beverages hot/cold and leak-free, it's wonderful. As far as design - the lid is *very* difficult to work with. Others mention that it only goes into a right-handed position. That's accurate. However. Mine keeps going, so that the mouth hole is completely opposite the handle (which technically means it works for either hand). But the seal is so strong that it's difficult to get the lid off. It's also very difficult to close the piece that covers the mouth. I have to push extremely hard. So I just rarely close it all the way. This issue combined with a general difficulty to unscrew the lid has caused breakage already (within a few months), on the tiny parts where the mouth hole lid attaches to the actual lid. Does this even make sense? It's a bizarre thing to me. So the flip lid piece can easily pop off the whole lid now, but somehow manages to stay in place well enough to still use.Overall, I'll go back to my bubba travel mug as soon as budget allows. I had that for nearly seven years with zero issues, until I left it at church for two weeks and it molded around the mouth piece🤦🏻♀️ chose this to replace it, because it was a little cheaper and looked cuter. I regret my choice.

Awesome Design & Quality
Lefty here- I totally understand my brethren lamenting the lid orientation forcing the handle to your right hand, but that’s a small nitpick for the quality and value you’re getting. Just hold it in your left hand sans the handle or take the lid off- you’ll be alright. My context- I got this as my daily coffee cup. I wanted to move away from disposable cups at work and also wanted something light and reasonably sized. I don’t drink a gargantuan thermos of coffee everyday. A handle was a big plus because I wanted to be able to hook it on a carabiner when I wasn’t using it and it makes the grip much more secure. Another want was something that would actually fit my car cup holder. So here's a list of what makes this awesome in my opinion- 1. geometry. It’s 16oz but on the taller skinnier side v short and wide. And the handle is placed higher. This means IT ACTUALLY FITS in your car cup holder. Big deal for me, since usually between the width of the cup or the handle, this is overlooked or you have to sacrifice one for the other. And let's face it, those super-wide cups are impractical- hard to get a handle on and never fit any holders or bag pockets.2- airtight lid. If you screw the lid on all the way and close the lid, it’s legitimately air tight. There will be no leaking. The only thing that freaks me out is because the lid has a bit of a lip, I always envision it somehow catching on something in my bag and getting popped open. That pop-top type lid and the lip on it are actually great design and super convenient for easy opening and drinking, but just leave me no peace of mind in a bag with other valuables like my laptop or journal in it. Therefore I tend to store only where there’s a dedicated bottle pocket or it’s upright and there’s nothing around it to potentially catch on. If it was possible to have a "safety" of sorts added- a metal latch or hook you could secure as a guarantee it's not opening for any reason other than your volition, I think I'd give this another star.3- easy cleaning. Because of its rubber lined pop-top instead of sliding lid, not only is it airtight but you can actually clean the lid very easily. No funky, unreachable crevices where mold and bacteria can grow. It also is airtight without needing silicone or rubber gaskets, which are another classic area on bottles that get super funky. All my friends throw away their sliding lids because they get uncurably gross, but this is no problem for the RTIC mug!4- light weight and good quality. This thing gets knocked and throw around quite a bit in the daily bustle, and other than the outer paint getting a few knicks it’s still in awesome shape. I know some people complain it doesn’t keep hot/cold as long as those super thick and heavy double wall thermos containers, but it does so plenty long for my purposes (it doesn’t take me hours upon hours to drink 16oz) without all the extra bulk. It’s a bonus that it looks good and I get a lot of compliments on it as well.

Works Great!
My RTIC mug is great, I use it everyday. It keeps my coffee hot for hours, fits the cup holders in my Jeep, the lid screws on for ether right or left handed users. Oh, and I like the pink color. I tried other 5 travel mugs before settling on this RTIC mug, the other brands just didn’t work for me.

The lid is tight. CANNOT order replacement parts in Canada.
The mug did exactly what it described it. Coffee stays hot for several hours and I love it. Only slight compliant is the lid gets tight, and there is not a whole lot of surface to grip onto to untwist the lid.Mar 1,2024 update. Beware if you are buying this in Canada, there is no way to order any replacement parts if the lid breaks. I reached out to the manufacturer they do not ship to Canada.
