VERY INEXPENSIVE SOLUTION THAT WORKS WELL!
Works well once you figure out a step or two. TIP: If inserting the long end of the hose with the clamp into a container where you cannot really see the end of that hose - BE SURE it has not coiled up, forcing the end out of the liquid. In other words, BE CERTAIN THE FEED HOSE IS SUBMERGED. The siphon action should then work well.Very inexpensive and easy tool fr occasional use. In my case, I had a tall weed control tank. I feed almost the full length of the feed hose into it through a small filler hole. The end rose to the top - above the fill level (which I could not see). It took a few tries to figure out my mistake.

Good cheap option
No instructions, but worked well. I used it to get the gas out of a dead push mower before disposal, and it worked immediately and quickly enough for that task. No backflow. The clip is super cheap, but was helpful enough given the price point.

This pump works well for various fluids
I purchased this to help drain a sink. It works nicely for that, though using it requires a tiny bit of work. Mainly, you have to pay close attention to the pump flow direction (marked on the rubber bulb). For plain fluid, it's good. Not quite a fast as I'd prefer, but it did the job nicely. I also tried using it in dirty water, and it became clogged on that. I'm not faulting this for that though as I don't think that was the intended use. It's a solid pump otherwise, and I'll be ordering a few spares.

Perfect easy siphon
Worked perfectly. East to put together and worked like a charm. Used it to get gas out of my snowblower and back into gas can. Started the snowblower up to removed the remaining gas and it ran for only a minute to clear out the remaining fuel. Highly recommend.

Does not work with diesel
UPDATE: The results were bothering me, since this is such a basic concept. So, I tried it with water from a 5 gallon bucket. No problems. Raising the hose, even with the end below the point of origin still broke the vacuum, but otherwise it flowed fine. I would estimate a .75 gallons per minute, which was a lot better than my initial results. No back draw, or minimal. I then tried unleaded gasoline and had similar results. My only guess is the specific gravity of the diesel was messing with it, but it seems to work fair for less dense liquids.Used this to transfer diesel. First, when you pump the bulb, it draws from both ends, so it is difficult to get a vacuum started. When you release the bulb it expels air in both directions countering the draw effect from squeezing it. Squeeze bulb, draw fluid in, release bulb, expel fluid... except it should only flow one direction... it doesn't. Decreasing the pressure on the bulb and pumping it quickly corrected for this, but it still takes a little while to get a vacuum started. The flow rate it terrible. It took 20 minutes to drain a 5 gallon can. Pumping it continuously increased the flow dramatically, so it's not the size of the hose. Putting the hose in any position except flowing downhill once fluid hits the bulb caused it to lose vacuum. I don't know how someone can screw up something as simple as a siphon hose, but these guys managed it.

Perfect
I was thinking I would have to leave the snowblower up in the shed (have to use a ramp to get it in and out) and the gas can on the ground for this thing to work. It was unbelievably easy to use, easy to put together. It worked in a matter of a couple minutes, the tank was dry and ready to store for the summer! Great product

Pump/syphon
Had to pump the gas out of the generator since it will sit idle for a year! This worked like a champ. Didn’t have to do it the old fashioned way of sucking on the hose and getting a mouth full of gasoline. It is worth the buy!

Simple directions
Some simple directions would have saved me time. Nice arrow on the bulb, but does that go towards the short hose or the long one. What’s the point of making a big deal out of difference size hoses if we don’t know which one to use. Yes, I’m the girl in the family. Stef. The product worked perfectly.
