This hairspray checks many of the boxes for what I want in a hairspray
As I get older, I am always looking for products with fewer harmful ingredients, and this hairspray checks many of those boxes. It is alcohol-free, non-aerosol, and not stinky at all—in fact, it has a very pleasant, light smell. It provides good hold, is affordable, and works well for everyday use. I have already gone through three or four bottles and will continue to buy it and recommend it to others. I also appreciate that it’s not an aerosol, which is better for the environment. So many good things to say about this product!

Great Clean Hair Spray for Fine Hair and Adding Volume!!
Wow, I was so amazed when I tried this hair spray! I have tried so many types and ended up with flat, sticky or crispy hair after using heat appliances. I have both fine and thin hair. This worked so well for me. Not gooey or sticky after a few days and hair even did not stick together when I applied heat after using several days. For me, it also added volume and has great staying power. Love that it is a pretty clean and natural product. Win, win for me:). I have tried so many products with poor results. Would recommend this for others with fine, thin hair.

No regrets
It performs as desired and is different in application than with alcohol laced sprays. Once you get used to that it holds well and not stuff.

Not Your Normal Hairspray
This is not your normal hairspray. All you need is one or two pumps, then STOP! It will be wet if you touch it, so DON"T. You may see little bubbles, don't worry about it. Go do something else and let it dry. You'll be surprised, once it dries, how well it holds, especially because it doesn't look like there's spray on it, it looks so very natural. And it holds ALL DAY! And it doesn't smell bad!!! Now, I don't know about wind yet. When I try that, I'll let it dry well, then give it another pump or two, let that dry and feel it. Wind is always a problem anyway, unless you plaster it with chemicals. And since it does need to dry, I would not plan on spraying and running out the door. I will keep a bottle of my old nasty stuff on hand for times I need to hurry. Just don't be tempted to give an extra couple of pumps because it will not just be wet, it will look wet and stay looking weird until you let it dry well, brush it, and start over. Going clean usually takes a little extra care. I've tried several alcohol-free sprays and never found one I liked until now. It is now on my Subscribe and Save!

Good product, not too good of a scent
I got this hairspray because I'm trying to use natural products, some of the store brands products smell very strong with all the chemicals that are used and they can't possibly be good for the hair and scalp. This product seems well made but I don't like the smell of it. It's somewhat vinegry.

LOVE this product!
Now that I’ve been using this product for a few days, I’m updating my review and I give it 5 stars. It doesn’t have a sickly perfume stench like most of the big name, drug store brands do, and it works quite well. I use it as a hair spray (after drying) rather than as a styling spray (which would be sprayed on wet hair). It holds very well even though I have fine, straight hair, which is hard to hold. It has a very mild, plant-like smell because of the natural ingredients, and I am very, very happy with this spray. At first, the sprayer created a sort of droplet-like spray, but after a few sprays, it’s working well now. YES, I will buy this again. Big thank you to this company for creating a spray with more natural ingredients. It’s actually quite miraculous, in my opinion.

NOT for Sensitive Skin
My skin is hypersensitive to allergens, many chemicals and synthetic fabrics. This hair spray had been my fave for years, as it held well and did not trigger any skin reactions..a true 5 start product for me. A year or 2 ago the formula changed, and it no longer held as well, but I kept using it as other "natural" products caused skin reactions. After my last purchase, began having blistering, bleeding and and severe flaking on my scalp. Attributed it to a high stress work environment since this product had been amazing to use for years. Noticed in contained Phenoxyethanol. After looking it up online, saw many had similar reactions to mine to this ingredient. Banned in some places and by some companies. Phenoxyethanol was not listed on an older bottle I use with water as a mister. I returned to a previous brand that I had used and the skin symptoms immediately disappeared. Tried this again a few week later with a lighter amount and had similar skin reaction within hours. Beware of the 20% that is not Aloe Vera.

No build up on scalp and no noxious fumes!
I have only used about three times, but so far so good. I have very sensitive skin and most sprays leave a heavy build up and my scalp itching like crazy. Plus the smells of some of the other sprays are noxious. With "Lily Of The Desert Natural Hold Aloe Vera Hair Spray" there isn't that smell and it holds good in most cases, though I wouldn't recommend going into a wind storm, it might fail then. But so far I really like it.

Love this product. Have used it for years as I can use no other hair products, as I am allergic to the fragrance and alcohol in them. This is very safe for me to use. You can spray it on damp hair and let dry naturally and it looks great. You can also spray on damp hair and then use a hairdryer, and then use it as a finishing spray. I find if you lift up a piece of hair, spray lightly and not too closely, then hold for a few seconds before letting the hair back down it has a chance to keep the shape and works better. Highly recommend this product.
