Will these keep my cats in? Kids go in and out a lot and I need something extra to keep the indoor cats from escaping

Hard to say. It’s pretty sturdy, but you have to make sure the bottom closes. The magnets are strong but once in awhile the very bottom magnet doesn’t close. It’s Maybe 3” or so. If you tap the screen it connects. So depending on how aggressive the cat is to go through.

My door frame in my patio is 36x72. Can this be cut shorter since it's 82" tall (9" too tall for what I need). Can't seem to find shorter.

They do make them for patio doors try and search for the type of door that you need it for. I just looked and found a few.

Does the manufacturer make custom sizes ?

Will this keep those annoying no-see-um bugs out?? We have them really bad in the evenings where I live.

All I can say is good luck 👍. I lived in various parts of Florida for about 14 year’s. The worse I ever dealt with those tiny bugs was on a dive trip in Marathon. It took over an hour just to leave the dock and we got eaten alive by them onboard while we waited to leave. Do to the nature of their size I can’t say for sure but the screen should at least help.
