Easy to install and work well
I installed these in a step box where the original latch had broken. Easy to install and I’m happy with the result.

Works on Coleman coolers
I have a very large cooler that I purchased years ago to keep my block ice in when doing extended camping trips in high temps in the high desert where I live. It is a great cooler, but the latches finally gave up on me and I wasn't able to find any replacements. I bought the COOLOGIN T-Handle latches because they looked pretty good from the pics and description.I just got around to putting them on this weekend and they work much better than I expected. They mount with 3 screws per side. Since they are meant for a different brand of cooler than I was mounting to, the included hardward did not work for me, which is to be expected. I purchased 1-1/2" #10 galvanized screws and used them to mount the latches. The whole process took less than a half hour and they work really well. In fact, they work better than the originals, which had a tendency to pop open after only a few months of use.I am rating 5 stars and would certainly recommend looking at these as a good solution for any brand of cooler with a reasonably flat surface between the lid and cooler. I could also envision these working to keep a lot of containers other than just coolers firmly latched. Totes, toolboxes, battery boxes, small doors on campers, etc. would be pretty easy to attach these to.

Good product
Apparently the screw hole size on the coolers have changed since we bought ours. We had to adapt them to our cooler but they work fine.

Not just for coolers!
I used these to hold my rod locker to my ice fishing sled and they worked awesome for what I needed them to do when metal latches just wouldn't work

Best way to keep animals out of garbage bins!!
The media could not be loaded. Omg finally!!! So we had bungee cords before on our bins and the racoons etc always got into the !!! even chewed bits of the lid. Then I came across these and what a game changer!! They are perfect! I decided to mount them on the front of the bin instead of the sides because when the bins are close together you can’t get your hand on the side, also I felt like the front was a tighter close for the critters. Instal was easy because I followed the instructions/drill bit recommendations from another review (look for the review from B. Nauman). I also LOVE that they stay in the upward position when you don’t want them latched (I was looking at another product that was more like a strap and I realized that the strap would get lost/fall or broken when you are putting stuff in or the bins are at the road. Tip: I installed the part on the lid first one hole/screw/bolt at a time and then the little button on the bin. When doing the button or tab what I did was attach it into the top part (be careful to look at the diagram in the ad to see the direction of the little tab on the nub) and then I put pencil on the little nub that you have to drill a hold for and then I put a lot of downward tension on it and rubbed it on the bin. That way I got a perfect location of where to drill with just enough tension to keep the lid snug. Then I finished with the second hole/screw/bolt. Also note that you have to be able to reach with an adjustable wrench on the back side so plan your placement carefully!
