National Geographic United States Wall Map - Explorer (32 x 20.25 in) (National Geographic Reference Map) Map – April 11, 2019

We got this map for our granddaughter. Her Dad (our son) drives semi's "over the road". Told her, early on, that he was on his way to Newark, NJ, and she didn't know where to find that, on her map.... We decided to keep a record and found this very nice map at Amazon. We both keep track of where he is traveling and, when she comes to visit, we update the map with pins. This has worked very well and our geography is improving, too!

This map is exactly what I was looking for: a large (but not too huge) wall map with detailed roads and cities. It also comes in a protective tube (which was a little difficult to open at first, but no big deal).

The map is ok. It did come in a tube but apparently somewhere along the way of packaging it got lots of wrinkles in it. Don't understand how that happens, although lots of people mentioned it. You would think the company could find some way to fix that problem. It is supposedly laminated but it was so thin that it didn't offer enough protection for me. I took it in and had it laminated at an office shop and it is much better now, although it cost me an extra $16 to have it done. Without the extra lamination I doubt that it would have lasted long, as it was very flimsy. I love that it shows all the national parks, that was my main requirement.

I was worried when I bought this because it was one of the least expensive options on Amazon. But, it's great. I use it for my 8-year-old. It really helps him put the states in perspective. I watched a historian on 60 Minutes talking about high school graduates not knowing that the original 13 colonies were on the east coast. That scared me enough to teach my son that fact.

We used this map to show family and friends our epic journey across Canada and the US this summer and had a number of people remark on the quality of this little map. Always felt fragile in the hands but handle it with care and you'll be fine.

This map is the perfect size. The colors are great and the cities on the map are easy to read. Delivered quickly and not damaged at all.

Well, the map is very nice, I probably should have splurged on a laminated one. It does come tubed, but I had to order a replacement and they both came with damages or bends. I think a paper tube would really save the day on this product. The Square tube it comes in is not packed with much else and the box is fragile.
