First, the jaw opening from bolt cup0 to side flange is exactly 1 inch plus approx. 1/32". Quality could not be better. The photo shows I am using the clamp as a stop to raise the swivel side table and had to be removable to lower the table.. The higher clamp shown is a different mfr. which I will replace to match the lower one but is fixed as a stop to lower the table to eating height. My right hand/arm is disabled from a stroke so I had to find a left hand solution. The table onlly has an allen wrench set screw which I am unable to use.

Excellen clamps. They were a bit small for my application, but I'm keeping them for futurfe use. Very strong, and easiy adjustible.

These are very nice C-style thumbscrew clamps. Just what I needed. They appear to be quality made in mainland Chine. No worries here.

I am using to attach on a thin wall and attaching items to the screw and knob.
