Years ago I bought my first set of basic Spiegelau red wine glasses (post holiday sale), and had they not been 75% off, I would never have bought them. After using them the first time, I was hooked. Every time I have used them with guests I have gotten loads of compliments. As the holidays were approaching this year, I decided to finally buy a white wine glass set and first choice was Spiegelau. After doing some research, I decided to go all the way and get this "Willsberger Anniversary" white wine set, which is quite the step up from my original glass set. First of all, the stem is pulled, which means there is no joint bump at the bottom of the bowl. Small thing for some, but distracting when I hold a glass of wine as my thumbnail always finds that ridge. The glass of the bowl is flawless (I checked all of my glasses). And again, that laser-cut rim. All of that plus that impossibly thin glass equals one of the lightest wine glasses on the market. Now for the only cons: Pricey and not packaged in the most sturdy method for delicate glass drink ware. Hard to get around the price of these glasses, but this seller had the best price. As far as the packaging, out of the four glasses, only two were wrapped in a thin layer of crinkled paper. Then the thin cardboard box was packed in a similarly sized cardboard shipping box with no extra padding between to protect the glasses. Luckily for me, all of my glasses arrived without any breakage, but this method of packing should be upgraded.

Beautiful and elegant. Long stems will break easy so I wouldn’t have them when young kids are around. Great gift.

I love these! I get a ton of compliments but to note- when I do macro eating and weigh out my drink ounces on a scale it fits 6oz

The glasses are uniquely shaped and very pretty. However, despite a claim of durability, one broke in my hand as I was drying it with a towel. Not as durable as advertised.

Great looking and feeling wine glasses, with a thin lip to enhance the tasting experience (unlike several other wine glasses). With a long stem it looks very elegant, but is also therefore a bit delicate - so care is needed when hand washing (would NOT clean these in a dishwasher). Overall a great glass, but reduced the rating by 1 star due to the slight asymmetry of the stem and body around the vertical axis (from the bottom to top of the glass) . This might be due to the difficulty of making longer stem glasses, and is a bit too noticeable when rotating a glass upright between the thumb and the neighboring 2 opposing fingers.

I absolutely love all Spiegeleau products - these are the only wine glasses I now have at home. I keep receiving compliments from various guests, even the sommeliers in my wine club who think I have won the million seeing my wine glass collection. The look, the feel, the classiness... unbeatable!
