The Vatican Library Collection Gold-Tone Hidden Cross Pendant Necklace, 30"

I have been looking for a special piece of jewelry for myself and was so excited when I found this locket! It came exactly as scheduled and I was not disappointed! The chain is sturdy and long. It's a beautiful, expensive looking chain. The locked is gorgeous. The craftsmanship makes it hard to believe the low price which it has been sold!!! The ornate details on the outside and inside of this locket are absolutely stunning. The red enamel is a beautiful, regal, dark red. The tiny red stones are sparkly and rich in color. The inside is just as beautiful as the outside. The small red, bejeweled cross is beautiful. A wonderful way to display your faith. The back of the locket is embossed with a mild flowery design with a Vatican library stamp if authenticity. I was very surprised at the elegance and beauty of this piece. It's a true work of art with very special meaning. I always wear silver, but I felt compelled to have this piece. The gold is beautiful. It has a rich estate feel. It has the character of an antique piece when quality meant more than quantity. Thank you Vatican Library Collection! I plan to wear this every day!

The locket is very pretty but it is much smaller than it looks in the picture. It was delivered on time and comes in a nice box with a small pouch. The chain is a good length and is of great quality considering the cost. Just so you know, there is no clasp or other mechanism that keeps the locket shut. It doesn't bother me though.

I agree with the other posters. The locket is beautiful, and elegantly crafted--and I love the red embellishment with the cross inside. But it is very large, and the chain is very long. I wish they had either had a smaller version of it, or just advertise this in the men's jewelry section. I gave it to my husband, and he loves it! So it's not a total loss...it looks much better on him.

Substantial sized pendant with lovely enamelling, tiny red stone on top and bottom, long beautiful chain. When you lift the top, there is more enamel inside, with a tiny cross surrounded by raised decorations in gold, plus bright red crystals at each point of the small cross. I am thrilled to be giving this as a gift. Love the fact that it is a piece of jewelry and a hidden article of faith. The locket opens easily--no catch, just opens and closes firmly. Much more stunning than it shows on the page.

but upon the receipt of the first one and the gold enamel was missing on the inside i returned it for a replacement. well the second one came and the one stone on front was sharp, and the locket did not close straight so it was crooked. great product. now if it could be made with good quality, i'd own it. it is just beautiful, not too heavy, and perfect size.

Usually Amazon Prime delivers right on time. After a week of seeing delivered on the packaging Tracking page, I called UPS and they told me to call Amazon. I called Amazon and got a very cheerful customer service rep. I explained what was going on, in about three minutes she replaced the order at no charge and sent it overnight. I received this necklace and two others that were part of the order the next day. It is a very pretty necklace for the price. The locket opens easily to see the cross. I would love to see an original at the Vatican.

You would think that anything made this beautiful , the detail alone on the inside alone is mind boggling the enamel work on the cove of the case is museum quality, b..u..t.. There is no clasp on the locket so when wearing the necklace you click with each and every movement. I don't understand why you would build such a beautiful piece of art and not complete it . It' s like painting he Mona Lisa and forgetting the smile???????? It makes no sense. Zazou,,,,,,,,,,,,,not wearing it so I'm not clicking or clacking. !!

This is really nice worn with a plain-coloured top or dress, it's like a cross between fashion jewellery and expensive jewellery. It's very nice to have a hidden cross, it made me feel much more personal about my faith when I wore it. It also reminds me of the gift shops we have here in the UK at castles, cathedrals and historical sites, where they have found something historical and made a reproduction for people to buy, it's really lovely. I wish I could find more lockets with hidden crosses in now! Lovely item. Top marks.
