Nifty and heavy duty!
This kayak is actually pretty comfortable and ergonomic. It maneuvers well in the water and cuts choppy wakes from motorized watercraft very well. The plastic is flexible, yet sturdy, and once deployed and strapped up, maintains it's rigid shape with ease. Assembling the kayak is surprisingly intuitive, though it does require some pushing and use of force, which means it will take some abuse and is not flimsy. The interior cabin (sitting area) has space behind the folding, adjustable seat and in the front, for stowage of personal items, which on my next outing will include some fishing gear. It currently is folded up and stored within my daily driving vehicle, ready for any adventure in a lake, creek, or river that my weekend may throw my way

The new revolutionary kayak!
I love the light weight it is and the compact size when folded. You don’t need a roof rack. You don’t need to fold car seats down. You don’t need a rolling cart because it only weighs 17 lbs! Tons of room in front and back of seat for fishing or picnic supplies or for a pet. I only wish the seat-back was a bit higher and offered more back support. Can get tiring when out for hours on the water.

Get the Inlet Instead
I have a couple of Inlets and grabbed a Lake to have as an extra on hand for friends or when I go out with both my kids. It does the job, but barely. It’s such a significant downgrade from the Inlets that I regret not just getting another one or maybe even a Bay or something. There’s a large gap in the back that allows water in and it’s uncomfortable since there’s no foot rest and minimal seat support. If you don’t know any different than maybe it’s sufficient for toodling around on a lake once or twice a year. But I’m always sad to be saddled with the Lake when my kids take off in the Inlets.

Light, portable and easy to assemble / disassemble
I have two of these and a tuckteck as well. This folds up much smaller than a tuckteck and is much lighter to carry - I can easily accommodate two of these in the trunk of my car but with the tuckteck I’d need to put the seat down or use my roof rack. Consequently I get a lot more use out of these. The one advantage TT has is that this doesn’t have a rudder which means that in open water you will be doing more of a zigzag motion and thus will get tired covering a shorter distance. Nevertheless I am very happy with the purchase and will be getting a lot more use out of these in the local lakes and ponds

Incomplete product
The media could not be loaded. Didn't even get out of the house let alone get in the water. All those reviews I read. I had faith (kinda sorta) in the ability of a true foldable to be right on front the start. Maybe a second one? This one is the Lake model.

Needs a Footrest or Brace
The Oru Lake Kayak is great for short excursions, but for longer trips, a footrest or brace is needed so you can use your legs. After about an hour on the lake, I started to cramp up because there wasn't a footrest to stretch against. I didn't find a footrest or brace in Oru's online accessories.

Surprisingly good kayak
Under 20#, around 10ft in length. I've had mine for about a week now and have taken it on 5 lakes now. This is definitely a kayak for flat water, it is minimal but functional. It takes me under 5 mins to fold into a kayak or back into the case. Inflatable kayakers pumping their crafts look on impressively as they take too long to inflate. This is perfect for me because I can't get a roof rack with my panoramic roof on my car. It seems durable and I'm looking forward to years of use. If you plan on choppy water, do not buy this model, look at the Bay model maybe, this has a very open cockpit and no good way to add a skirt for those conditions. I love this kayak

Love this Kayak
The media could not be loaded. Takes a bit the first time to set up and breakdown but once you have done it a couple times it is quick and easy. My dog fits easily and there is plenty of room. I wish it came with the foot supports and a more padded seat but for more money you can add those I guess. The kayak is expensive in my opinion but worth the portability of it and ease to transport. Once I have more money then I will get the feet support. It did take longer to arrive than stated on Amazon. I think it was about a week or so late. But I do love this kayak
