The brass piece had bits of metal left over from machining. I used the blunt end of a drill bit the size of the holes to push the pieces out. The kit works as described, but it was a lot more work than the instructions imply. It took me bleeding the lines twice (turning the key to run for 30 seconds at time for about 20 or more times) to get all air out. Then after the second time, I primed 16 times, and on the 17th I held the accelerator to the floor and after the second attempt it started. I was about to lose faith, but it finally worked. I will never again let this happen, but I know this kit is also needed for changing the fuel filters… I do not look forward to it, but at least I have this kit now.

Great tool to have on hand I used it for 2008 Ford F-250 diesel so the fit was great no leaks. For the money it has saved me more than once so definitely worth the money. Especially if you run out of diesel driving around or just doing maintenance. Makes life easier and saves you time! 100% recommend. Great quality
