Worked great
I thought I was going to have to toss my Them-a-rest. This gave it a second life. The air mattress held air for 6 days - never needing a refill - at my son’s scout camp after I had patched it. Highly recommend to patch a Them-a-rest or similar air mattress.

Type A gets A+
The others I cannot say but the type A sealed the thermarest up pretty solid.

Get the right kit
I ended up purchasing 2 kits: the Permanent Home Repair Kit and the Universal Repair kit. Based on reviews, glue dots were preferred. I ordered the Permanent Kit because some photos of the kit appeared to show glue dots however, The Permanent Repair kit does NOT contain glue dots. I ended up purchasing the Universal Kit after the fact which does have glue dots. Here is what each kit contains:Permanent Home Repair kit:4 nylon patches about 2.5 inches dai. (green, brown, black, blue)2 alcohol pads2 tear-aid patches, type A (1 inch square ea.)1 spreader stick1 tube of adhesiveInstructions (this is important and I'll come back to this)Universal Repair Kit:Same as the Permanent Repair Kit with the following exceptions...3 nylon patches rather than 4 (brown, black, blue)3 glue dotsBetter instructionsThe instructions with the Universal Kit tell you what type of patch to use on which mattress. In summary:Use the glue dots and Tear-Aid on all models EXCEPT: Yellow NeoAir, Trail, Trail Scout, LuxuryCamp, and LuxuryMap.For NeoAir, Trail, Trail Scout, you only need the Tear-Aid Type A patch (no glue dot). Both kits have Tear-Aid. Also, you can purchase Tear-Aid Type A patches separately and in larger patch sizes. For the LuxuryCamp, and LuxuryMap, use the nylon circle patches and tube adhesive. The Tear-Aid seems to form a strong seal on the Trail Scout material although I haven't used it in the field yet.Product works great but minus 1 pt because Therm-a-Rest did not mention how/when to use the Tear-Aid in the instructions for the Permanent repair kit even though Tear-Aid was included in the kit. Hopefully the info in this review will help the next person get the kit with the patches they need.Update: recently used the repaired thermarest on a 62 mile backpacking trip. The patch held up great.

Works!
Had a leak in my thermarest air mattress and this product was easy to use, and the repair is holding well. I’ve used my pad 3 times since repair. You need to find the hole (submerge inflated pad in water to find the bubbles that will be made where the leak site is), circle the leak with a pen. Dry the area thoroughly, cut the patch down if needed (Round the corners!), then draw an outline of the patch on the site. Put glue in both the outline and the back of the patch, give them a few seconds to get tacky. Fuse together and place a weight on the repair site. Let cure for a few hours. 👍

Not enough adhesive for 4 patches
There were four 3-inch, round patches in my kit and a few others for a different type of Therm-a-Rest mattress. Read the instructions well. Applied the adhesive to both holes in my Therm-a-Rest Prolite 4 that dates back to about 2005 or so. I had to be skimpy with the adhesive, albeit the instructions said to "apply a generous amount of adhesive." Because it was plain to the eye that the small tube of adhesive was absolutely insufficient to use on all four patches. Barely had enough to do the two patches. Now, I have two patches left over and no glue. At $14.95 per repair kit there's no reason for the lack of a proper amount of adhesive. So thumbs down to Therm-a-Rest for it's failure to supply a sufficient amount of adhesive. Thank god I only had two punctures to repair.

Patched hole, patch worked, no issues
Patched a small scratch hole in an old Thermarest. Followed instructions. It worked. Hole sealed, and has stayed that way for several uses. No issues, no surprises. Plenty of extra left over for other patches - though I don't know how long the solvent will last after it's been opened for first use.

Don't waste your TIME or MONEY on this product!!! They certainly did not.
I used it to try to fix my air mattress. The glue is weak for this purpose and the patches are very thin and cheap. (I believe a condom would have been thicker than the patches they sent me) I followed the instructions but the patch would not hold. Air leaked out even though I gave it extra time to cure. The glue was not strong enough to hold because the air pressure the air mattress has even before it was half-filled, started leaking very badly. It was a waste of money and time. I ended up purchasing HH-66 and made a patch from a previous air mattress I had and now it is fixed. This kit is very cheaply put together. ( I believe to maximize profits without worrying if this product is going to actually help us or not.) This product has only given me buyer's remorse.
