I couldn’t believe I spent this much money on each can but as I was buying a bunch of products to help see us thru the quarantine and this had such positive reviews, I got carried away and thought I’d give it a try. First of all, all three cans came severely dented, VERY disappointed. I decided to use the worst one first, so tonight I used it in a large pot of veggie chili... DELISH!!! One can goes a long way when mixed with beans and sautéed vegetables. It made for a nice, thick, ‘meaty’ chili, had a great taste and we loved our meal! I’d reorder in a heartbeat but I’m afraid of receiving more dented cans. Aside from that, this is a winner and made a fantastic chili!

Yummy but too expensive. It's just a regular sized can and it might feed one and a quarter people. I've purchased more anyway, but it's more of a treat than something I'd rely on for regular meals due to the price. Really does make a good taco though. I used this filling with shredded lettuce and salsa and they were delicious.

Loma Linda's like an OLD vegetarian secret. You don't just open up a can; you open up cans and start cooking!This Taco Filling is fabulous if you sauté it up with some chiles and spices and throw it in a taco and dress it up like any other kind of taco--a winner everytime (unless you cannot tolerate soy or gluten--if so this ain't your brand).Amazon seems to be a little scandalous with the canned goods so buyer beware. I mean if you get them to call you they will refund dented cans you're too scared to eat. Botulism is no joke and Amazon gets it, but if you could possibly find Loma Linda locally thank your lucky stars.

We made burritos with this product. The flavor and texture are okay but it is not hamburger meat. For the priceI will stick with hamburger.

LOMA LINDA GOT ME SMILING RIGHT NOW. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS. BAKED THE TACO FILLING IN THE OVEN FOR 20-30 MIN ON 350F WHILE MOVING IT AROUND EVERY 5 MINUTES. TASTE LIKE GROUND BEEF. NO KIDDING!

All in all, I was truly disappointed with this veggie taco filling. It doesn't look appetizing, or smell particularly good- and those are the good points, as the taste really turned me off. I suppose that if you have little sense of taste, and are looking for a nice, thick filling for a taco or burrito, then this would do the job.Frankly speaking, after buying a can of this stuff, my best idea is to throw the stuff away and dice up a couple of Loma Linda Big Franks to serve as taco filling.

I have spent many hours trying and fine-tuning products and recipes for vegetarian taco filling in the style of ground meat. I have literally actually tried all the products on the market. All the meat-like crumbles. All the meat analogues, tweaked to be like ground beef (like crumbling Beyond Burgers and cooked with Mexican spices, onions and salsa. I've made my own vegetarian crumbles from scratch in a laborious, three=hour process. I'm kind of obsessed. If you have heard of a processed product or a recipe to try I guarantee you I've tried it. And this one is by far the best. Hands down. My only quibble (and it's a small one) is that it's a bit wetter than we typically like, but that's just our preference.

If you are a vegetarian and love tacos. This is for you. It has great texture and wonderful flavor. I even fed it to my grandson and he didn’t even know.
