Q: Are these large pieces of sugar or fine?

It depends on what you call large or fine. They are about the same size as regular white sugar you buy at the store. To me that's large because I have some fine exfoliators that are much more fine than that.I'll post a photo.

Q: Does it smell like coconut?

For me it is not a strong coconut smell but there is a nice light coconut aroma. My favorite Deep Steep scrub product is the Fresh Honey - amazing honey smell.
