3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Light Cutting Polish + Wax, 36109, 1 Pint, One-Step Process, Removes Scratches and Swirls, Light Oxidation Remover for Boats and RVs

After running out of my last bottle of Finesse-it finishing polish, I was surprised to not be able to find more. I use this when polishing gel coat on a boat. I found this works well as a replacement. Using a polisher to apply. It also has some wax in it so I feel like it gives some protection if I don't get to waxing right away.

Just great stuff

I used this product to compound a 19 year old fiberglass boat. The boat had been well cared for, but after 19 years, the topside surfaces were just starting to get chalky. I used a dry wool bonnet on a 600 RPM rotary polisher to apply the product. It quickly cut through the oxidation down to the clear coat. Boat looks great now! I highly recommend this product. Can't wait to see how the boat looks after applying 3M's companion product, Perfect-It Boat Wax!

Stuff works well but you have to do all the steps

I’ve used this light cut and the medium cut on my RV. Although I like to apply another wax coat, the shine left after applying these 3M products is really nice.

This 3M product does the trick to bring your paint back to life. Used it on my camper and what a difference! I will use this again. I gave it a 3star on ease of use, because I did it by hand and not with a buffer. I'm sure a buffer would make it a lot easier. I will order it again.

Used this to remove some LIGHT scratches on my black boat and black truck. Worked really well on the truck. I removed some scratches from my wifes nails on the door. I had to do it twice on the boat, the scratches were deeper than I thought, probably should have got the medium for the boat. It's designed to cut then breakdown into a polishing compound. Really happy with the shine. If you have heavily oxidized gelcoat or deeper scratches on a car may want to try medium. I liked the light because I wasn't worried about taking too much off. Use it with a buffing wheel for best results, it works by hand but takes alot longer. I would buy it again.
