Protects your skin
I really like these as I am a paraplegic and need to use leg braces from foot to thigh at PT and after I am done exercising and remove my skin has no marks or bruises.

Cut to length
Not much to say. When you need it, you need it. If you are looking for compression, this is not the product. (Which IS why I bought this lighter weight product)

Makes a Great "CPAP Sock!"
This is exactly what I needed, to make "socks" to line the uncomfortable silicone rubber flange of a CPAP mask.Because this material is knitted in a ribbed stitch, it's also better for this purpose than another kind I had gotten, for a different use, from a physical therapist (that kind was knitted in flat stockinette stitch, the edges of which rolled up and shed a lot of lint, when cut). The edges of this kind lie flat and don't roll, and it doesn't shed lint as badly (be sure to use very sharp scissors, so as not to mangle the delicate cloth). It doesn't interfere with the fit or sealing properties of the CPAP mask, and the pieces can be washed and re-used (I wash them by hand). For a small-sized full-face mask cushion, I cut 1-yard lengths of 2-inch stockinette into 3 pieces, then fold a piece in half (back on itself) and stretch the now double-layer tube over the mask cushion, covering the silicone part, with the folded edge towards the face opening. It loosens a little overnight, but can be realigned to wear it again (say, for a nap the next day), before changing it for a new piece. Pieces for medium or large size masks may need to be cut an inch or two longer. This giant roll of stockinette is much more economical than the after-market "CPAP covers" that the NP at the sleep medicine doctor's office suggested (those were 2 for $35, the last time I looked). It's important to comply with CPAP treatment, so if you're about to give up on it because the mask is so uncomfortable, try using this stockinette to make the cushion feel better against your skin.If you don't like how it works, you can use the stockinette tubes for other purposes: for cushioning fragile knickknacks when packing them for shipping or storage; as a "tamer" for multiple electrical cords or electronics cables; cut into non-latex elastic bands to hold other objects together (you know how rubber bands eventually dry rot? this stuff won't do that); tied into little bags for bouquet garni (instead of cheesecloth) when cooking, or in place of muslin for home-made tea bags.... Use your imagination, and your small investment in this stockinette won't be wasted.

Not What I Expected
I thought this product was much more thicker, tighter, and solid to cover a bandaged wound but it isn't. It is very thin, stretches way too far and slides off. I opened it and used a portion so I cannot return it for a refund. I expected a little more strength and hold for the price which is over $20.00. I don't recommend this product.

Perfect seedling pots! Terrific rolling pin cover! (Oh, and great for medical uses too...)
Here in Alaska, we often start our plants indoors to accommodate our shorter growing season. The problem can be judging exactly when all danger of frost is over. Plant too early and your seedlings are root bound in traditional plastic pots. Transplant to larger pots and you can quickly run out of room on your windowsills or even in your greenhouse.Air pruning to the rescue!Gather several yards of stockinette onto a short length of 4" PVC pipe.Staple one end closed and leave the rest on the pipe. (Staple a few inches of cotton cord into the bottom if you want to wick water from a tray below a grid.)Fill the pipe with moist soil to the depth you want your pot, just as you would a traditional pot. When as full as you want, insert a disc the size of the inside of the pipe.Slip a little of the stockinette off the pipe, then push the soil out into the stockinette.Cut the stockinette an inch or two above the top of the soil. You can plant seeds directly into this pot or transplant seedlings from a seedling tray. Do not allow it to dry out. Either set in a tray of water or stretch hardware cloth over your tray and allow wicks to dangle into water.Roots that reach the edge stop when they sense the air stop and put out side roots rather than wrapping around the pot, making a sturdy and healthy plant. In the past I've used polyester and cut the pot off before planting. Because this is 100% cotton and a loose weave, I'm going to experiment with planting the whole pot on some seedlings next spring.

Extremely stretchy!!!!
I read reviews and thought since this was for my leg under an air cast I should get the 4’. I have a bigger leg ( size 12 pants) and what I read had some saying it was not stretchy. The 4’ is so stretchy that I couldn’t keep it under the boot without siding. I would say smaller is better.

Decent, but no recoil or compression.
As my wife pointed out, these are, in fact, labelled 'economy', so I guess they are a decent value. I bought them to aid in recovery from ankle surgery. My complaint is they really have zero elasticity and basically stretch out to the size (diameter) of the widest expanse needed to get them on (so basically getting them over you heel). I have a 17" calf and by the time I get the top of the length I cut to cover from just above the toes to just above the calf, it is too flaccid to stay up on its own. I take every precaution NOT to stretch it any more than needed when putting it on (i.e. it is not due to technique). On the plus side, it is easier to keep the gauze covering my 6" incision in place (or reposition it) while putting it on. If you need NO compression to keep them up, then these are a good value. I wanted something that would stay up over my calf on its own. This brand will not. It also falls down and into my boot until it reaches the largest portion of my calf (which is well bellow the top of the boot).
