Light, travel friendly. Perfect. I don't understand the negative reviews
I don't understand the negative reviews. I think people that complain about this either don't know what a french press is or are overfilling it (the plunger does displace some volume, so there is the temptation to overfill - a mistake I made once, realized what happened, then never did it again). It does have a metal filter in the bottom that has very tiny holes, probably causing most of the "depress the plunger very slowly" comments, but it is barely noticeable. Every other french press I've seen has either been glass or metal. This is lightweight plastic and very travel friendly. I use this every day in the office and pack it when I go backpacking. I haven't weighed it, but seems about as heavy as the aeropress I used to take but is so much quicker, easier, and cleaner. And a fraction of the price. A *little* heavy for the trail, but IMO well worth the extra ounces.

Perfect for travel
I absolutely love this portable coffee press, works great for camping or traveling! Makes a great cup of coffee and it’s very convenient to use with easy cleanup and also keeps the coffee very hot! I would recommend this product and I would purchase it again

Started out pretty good. Not dishwasher safe!
I got this cup so that I could have a portable French Press. It's a great idea, but the design could use some work. It is a good size, making about a 10-12 oz cup of coffee or tea. It stays warm for about an hour, so roughly enough time to drink your coffee or tea. There are some design flaws, such as leaking that occurs between the press mechanism as you take a sip when your drink level is low. Another area that needs work is the fit of the components all together. The press mechanism disassembles easily for cleaning and screws back together, but they do not always stay tight. That means you may end up with coffee grounds or loose tea on your cup. Since it all comes apart, it's easy to clean, buy it's not dishwasher safe, and I can confirm that. My sweet, well-meaning husband put only the lid in the dishwasher, and it seems to have shrunken, and it doesn't fit snugly in the cup anymore. I think with some slight modifications, this could be a really great, inexpensive French Press cup. It really did make a good cup of coffee and tea! If the lid hadn't gotten ruined, I'm sure I'd still be using it, despite its flaws.

Great value
The little plastic thin broke before I even used it but it still holds and works. For the price it's a great little cup, took some getting used to and I always end up dribbling on myself but other than that it works fine. Easy to clean and easy to use. Keeps the coffee warm for about an hour.

Pros, cons and simple fixes
You have to plunge very slowly but that’s with any french press, when you start feeling more resistant than usual just pull out a little bit and the plunger will go down effortlessly, again slowly. The type of micro filter makes it so even espresso grinds don’t get in the main part of the cup, I’m no coffee snob but I like strong coffee and at times I’ve done this with no problem. Leaking Make sure all the gaskets are aligned properly, all 3 of them, my first cup came that way and leaked a lot. Leaking between the plunger and main cup on the top is a quick fix, get silicone bands (like rubber bands but silicone) sold here in Amazon slip one on the top of plunger and will not leak, on top of that you’ll find out a great amount of different uses for the silicone bands, the reason why I already had them handy to experiment with. Is not leak proof if the cup lays sideways thus not a good idea to store with liquid in your purse or backpack, minor issue, the slide opening on the lid can be pull apart for complete and throughly clean. I wouldn’t put it in the dishwasher, nor microwave but that in my opinion is just common sense because is double wall etc. I used to use Zyliss cup but honestly I like this much better, holds more coffee, 16 oz vs 12, doesn’t allow any grinds in the coffee after pressed and the cost $6+ vs $20+. How long it’ll last? Time will tell but at this price I wouldn’t mind if it lasts only a few months since I use it everyday. After those small corrections I have a wonderful cup of coffee every morning weather at home, traveling or camping.

Works for a little while
This was great at first. Then it started leaking shortly after the return window closed. Buyer beware.

Subpar build
Meh. Havent had a successful pour yet. Bought two and wish i had bought zero. The concept I love. Easy to clean but there are several parts. Doesnt keep hot. Not easy to use. Holds a lot if you can figure iut how to use it. The instructions stink.
