No electric RC airplane flyer should not have this tester.

Checks cells. Can display individual cells or as a whole pack voltage. Also tells the battery percentage.

Should have bought this a long time ago
This thing's super easy to use I check my battery cells my battery sells every time after flights it tells me what's going on and I'm able to sync the proper time for each airplane. It's pretty color easy to see lightweight durable and very inexpensive for what you got

Perfect for batteries
This works just like it should I wouldn’t charge my batteries that were sitting for a year till I got this this monitor will save your life with expensive batteries are today I recommend this one cause it does 8s so far it’s the only one

If you have lipo batteries, you need one of these
Great little battery checker. Easy to use. Directions are simple and clear enough to understand. I didn't need the servo tester portion of the tester but i'm glad to have it for the future. You need to connect the 3-5v battery to the servo in side to use it though. It has a nice bright display. I love that you can cycle through and quickly see each cell voltage or the total voltage. Connecting the battery balance plug incorrectly doesn't hurt the tester which is a nice feature.

Voltage way off
Unfortunately the voltage reading was way off. My expensive voltage meter was showing 4.01 and this was showing 4.4v. I'm not even going to attempt to test with this with it thinking the voltage is .4v higher.
