Q: An it be used with normal spring mattresses? Will the mattress bend?

I used it with a 10kg cotton mattress (normal , not box type) and it worked.

Q: Does it lie down completely flat?

Not completely Flat, the top half of mattress would be slightly higher due to the frame underneath it. Probably, a big enough mdf or plywood board can be placed under the bottom half of the mattress.

Q: What is the size of mattress we can use it for?

We have used it on regular cot of 3ft x 6ft It is a wonderful product.
