How to Think about the Economy: A Primer

An excellent introduction to solid economic reasoning
Professor Bylund provides a brief, yet thorough, explanation of how the economy actually works. It is a little weighty at some points, but no more so than necessary in order to challenge many of the commonly-held errors regarding the market. He concisely shows how the market operates according to immutable laws, how a the consumer is sovereign in the market, and how regulations disrupt the normal flow of the economy - typically with consequences that can be foreseen with those who understand those economic laws. This is definitely a useful book to introduce any thoughtful individual to the "Austrian School" of economics.

Great for beginners
Great book if you don't really know anything going in. If you are even mildly informed on real world economics you can probably skip to something more advanced.

Lista de lectura de Riva Tez
Te da un repaso abstracto desde una perspectiva más autosoberana de los conceptos básicos de economía. Bien escrito, bastanate entretenido. Lectrua ligera pero muy interesante. Leído desde Kindle paperwhite sin ningún problema. Fue un libro recomendado por el ig de Riva Tez junto con 'omnipotent government'- Ludwig von Mises, 'The Law'-Bastiat, 'The sovereign individual'-James Dale Davidson

Great read!
What a great book! Quick and easy read! Thankful for the Mises Institute as their organization introduced me to the teachings of Per Bylund and so many brilliant minds past/present.*Add "Anatomy of the State" by Rothard and "The Law" by Bastiat while you're shopping ;) among too many more to name.

Know more about Economics than 99% of the Population in less than 200 pages.
Interacting with people both online and offline it's clear that most people have a very poor grasp of even the most basic principles of economics. As a result people fall into the same traps when assessing policies and ideas put forward by political parties and movements. This book is intended to provide a concise guide to the essential principles of economics. It would be easy to assume that this could have an ideological bias but the principles covered are the basic economic laws that are apply regardless of ideology. You don't need to be a capitalist to understand that supply and demand are a thing.I think the intention of the author is to provide people with the information required to avoid falling for political statements and policy promises that sound appealing at face value but do not pass basic scrutiny and are damaging to the economy. This book is recommended for anyone who wants to get a basic understanding of the fundamental principles of economics without the boring detail. The information in this book will provide the information to make you more informed than 99% of the population.
